This place would be awesome in warmer weather. As of March 3rd, 2021 the lakes are frozen and snow still on the ground. The road is loose gravel, and seems to be maintained well as the only person I saw was the truck plowing what snow was leftover. There is a bathroom at the entrance stocked with toilet paper. I wanted to drive further down the road and stay the night, but imminent snow in the forecast as well as subfreezing temperatures made me drive to lower elevation to wait things out. Will definitely return again but perhaps in June when I can actually fish without having to make a hole in ice!
