Whiskytown Lake is a great recreation lake, from boating, swimming to fishing. Oak Bottom is shores are surrounded by pines and manzanita. It has a pretty large campground with tent and dry RV sites. There is a nice swimming beach and a marina. They have showers on the beach and in the campground area. My favorite thing to do is here is go kayaking in the coves. A short drive around the lake will take you to Whiskeytown picnic area where they have some awesome hiking trails.
