Best Cabin Camping near Stevinson, CA

Several campgrounds within driving distance of Stevinson, California provide furnished cabin rentals with varying amenities. Lake Tulloch RV Campground and Marina offers cabins equipped with bunk beds and small refrigerators, according to visitor Craig L., who noted these accommodations make for "nice weekend getaways." At Yosemite Pines RV Resort, basic cabins include electricity and beds, though guests should verify specific amenities when booking. Mercey Hot Springs features air-conditioned cabins that provide relief during hot summer nights, with cabin #10 specifically mentioned by visitors as comfortable and conveniently located near parking. Del Valle Campground in the East Bay Regional Park District maintains well-kept cabins that several visitors have described as "very nice and maintained," offering a more structured option for those seeking rustic cabin camping without sacrificing comfort.

Pet-friendly cabin options exist at several locations, though policies and additional fees vary by campground. Yosemite Pines RV Resort welcomes pets in some cabin units for an additional charge, while Lake McSwain Recreation Area and Barrett Cove Recreation Area also offer pet-friendly cabin accommodations. Rustic cabins without plumbing are common at most locations, with shared bathhouse facilities nearby. More deluxe cabin rentals featuring private bathrooms, kitchenettes, and climate control systems can be found at Thousand Trails Morgan Hill and Casa de Fruta. As one visitor to Yosemite Pines noted, "We really enjoyed our stay in the basic cabin over Easter weekend. The property was great and staff interactions were friendly."

Most cabin rentals provide beds with mattresses but require guests to bring their own linens, pillows, and towels. Kitchen facilities vary significantly between properties, with some offering only outdoor fire rings and picnic tables while others include small refrigerators, microwaves, or hot plates. Visitors should pack cooking utensils, dishware, and food storage containers as these items are rarely provided. On-site camp stores at Lake McSwain, Lake Tulloch, and Yosemite Pines stock essential items like firewood, ice, and basic groceries, though selection is limited. For more extensive grocery shopping, the towns of Livermore, Groveland, and Morgan Hill have full-service supermarkets. Cabin guests should also bring flashlights, insect repellent, and appropriate seasonal clothing as Central California temperatures can fluctuate significantly between day and night.

Yosemite Pines RV Resort & Family Lodging

    Good Place for Kids

With a pool, petting zoo, a corral where they have a fire and s'mores followed by a movie, this is a great place to camp with the kids.

The showers are free and usually clean although on Saturday evening the campground was full and the bathrooms were dirty and out of TP.

There are tent sites, RV sites and cabins so something for everyone.

There were A LOT of stray cats on the property which kind of drove our dog crazy. But at least the campground is pet friendly.

If you plan to go into Yosemite NP, it's a long drive so plan accordingly. Our family really enjoys Rainbow Pools and Yosemite Pine's proximity to Rainbow Pools is part of why we stay here. The kids can jump and swim there and that's all they really want to do anyway so being close to that is key for us. So many of the places in the park where we used to get in the water do not allow swimming anymore.

    Going downhill ?

It wasn’t as nice as the photos depicted. Water shortage? The grasses were long and dried up, there appears to have been a wooden bridge as a shortcut to the pool/restroom/laundry room/Deli, but no longer. The restrooms were barely tolerable and the woman’s had a bad odor. There’s a dishwashing station that is no longer serviceable, just a stainless sink set in a covered table with no water or even plumbing to include drains. You have to pay for WiFi and sometimes the signal drops. For the cost of the campground the WiFi should be free! Lesser known campgrounds even have free WiFi. There are Conestoga Wagons, Cabins and Yurts. None were occupied. Reason?

Great view with central location in the Park!!!!!!!!!

What a great place to stay and enjoy this magnificent National Park. Reservation fill up quickly and you can see why, as the (closest town) [Mariposa, CA](http://Mariposa, CA https://www.google.com/maps/place/Mariposa,+CA+95338/@37.6138031,-119.9096238,11z/data=!4m21!1m15!4m14!1m6!1m2!1s0x8096b0aac3ff60c5:0xb0ab002eb339644e!2sMariposa,+CA!2m2!1d-119.9662843!2d37.4849377!1m6!1m2!1s0x8096f24a1bc3a93d:0xbda9e022a9515b5a!2sUpper+Pines+Campground,+Yosemite+National+Park,+9024+Southside+Dr,+YOSEMITE+NATIONAL+PARK,+CA+95389!2m2!1d-119.56555!2d37.7391319!3m4!1s0x8096b0aac3ff60c5:0xb0ab002eb339644e!8m2!3d37.4849377!4d-119.9662843) is about an 1.5 hours away. You can reserve camping up to 5 months in advance for $26. This camp ground is close to the (general store) Yosemite Village, Half dome trail head and a river runs along side. The sites are small with 2 parking spaces, the bathroom were well maintained.

I really enjoyed staying here. The view you wake up to is priceless. If you get a chance to dine in the park the [The Majestic Yosemite Hotel Dining Room](http://The Majestic Yosemite Hotelhttp://www.travelyosemite.com/lodging/the-majestic-yosemite-hotel/ Dining Room) has delicious but $$ food.

    Mercey Hot Springs

    Amazing Place

I Van Camped at Mercey Hot Springs for 5 days. When I arrived the nights were hot so I decided to take an AC Cabin #10 where I could park right next to the cabin and slept comfortably. I moved to a RV camp site #5 when the temps at night were a more comfortable mid 60s. I love that the hot tubs are available all night long. It allows for long soaks while star gazing. The therapeutic water is magical some of the best I have found. As soon as you enter the pool or hot tubs you feel the smooth water on your skin. The hot tubs are all oversized privet bath tubs that you fill with mineral water of your desired temperature. This is a completely off the grid resorts that has good energy and tranquil atmosphere. It is very clean with clean bath rooms and showers. When I was there in June 2024 they did not have the restaurant open yet but one looks like it is in the near future. They do have snacks, cold drinks, coffee, ice cream and Ice in the front office for purchase. I took the short hike up the hill to see the solar array, while up there I discovered a most amazing triple Labyrinth circle walk that was very mindful experience. I have never seen such a neat labyrinth as this. Truly an amazing stay, I will be back.

    Camping friendly

Not located in the Yosemite Park (we made that mistake). 20-30min drive to Yosemite Park.

    Very cute and quiet spot.

Trails around camp grounds, petting zoo for kids.

Tent, camper/rv, and cottage camping available.

Would recommend if you don’t mind a drive to get to the park.

Del Valle Campground — East Bay Regional Park District

    A fun campsite

It’s a cozy place with boat rentals! Plenty of shade and bathrooms available. Only reason got 4 star is the constant blue-green algae, making the water unavailable for swimming. Regardless of that, you can still fish and go on boat rides.

Del Valle Campground — East Bay Regional Park District

    Very impressed!

Very happy with our first camping experience at Del Valle. Our campsite (#139) could have used some shade, but we had plenty of space and the views were awesome. Almost every site was occupied, but luckily everyone respected the quiet hours. The facilities were clean and well maintained. We didn’t interact with staff/rangers too much, but the few we did talk to were very friendly and helpful. We look forward to going back!
