One of the Best

Great campground. Strong WiFi, adequate and clean restrooms. Sites are level with some trees. Convenient to Lassen Volcanic National Park

Really nice people and clean facilities

I decided to go on a last minute solo trip and called this places for a one night reservation. Next time I definitely want to stay longer. It’s a great family spot and there were lots of dogs and kids running around. The tent camping spots are far enough from people and you don’t feel like you’re on top of each other. You can choose if you want to glamp or camp here, so it’s also a good place if you have friends that don’t like dirt but want to be around pine trees.

One thing I will warn is google maps did tell me to turn too early and I was wondering around a neighborhood for a little bit. You turn right off of 44 to get to the site.

Wonderful!

So, we already knew we were in trouble. Lassen Volcanic was closed(it was on fire), which is the whole reason we were here. Lots of smoke, but the campground wasn't in danger. We came in anyway. This was the last stop before we started home.

The campground had a lot of cancellations, so it was unusually quiet. That didn't bother us! We had a back in site- 33. The best site in the campground! It's close to the dog park if you have a dog.

The bathroom/shower is 3 sites down. Very clean.

Also close to the walking trail, basketball/volleyball courts& a neat tree swing. All this is under tall pines. This isn't a large campground, but it's VERY nice. Lots of trees& shady. Has a gift shop at the office.

The pool was open. Lots of hornets& 2 people got stung while in the pool. They have traps out, but the hornets are persistent!

Laundry I didn't use, but it's there if you need it. Everything was very clean. Service was friendly.

So, this is a good base for Lassen Volcanic. Since we couldn't go, there's other things to see. McArthur Burney Falls is a bit of a drive, but well worth it. We also stopped at Subway Cave, which we loved& Hat Creek Rim Overlook(which was a waste of time with the smoke). The rest of the day we chilled at the pool! We will definitely be back someday to see Lassen!

Nice, but don’t do it for the WiFi.

It’s a very nicely run and maintained campground. But, our primary reason for spending the $38 was so that I could connect to WiFi and work in the morning. Even sitting right by the office I could hardly get gmail to load. Other than that the sites are nice, bathrooms are clean, and it’s perfectly good.

GREAT KOA

This KOA is located in a beautiful wooded area. The most clean facilities I’ve ever experienced at a KOA. The staff was vibrant and happy. 10/10 would recommend to a friend.

Clean and well run

We spent a full week here and enjoyed it immensely.  Our tent site was large and spacious and even when full, the campground was quiet and peaceful. The hosts were very attentive to the needs of everyone staying there.  We had one night during which a nearby, private property had some dogs that barked all night.  We reported this concern the next morning, after which the hosts contacted the neighboring individuals and the dogs were quite for the remainder of our stay.  The bathrooms and showers were always clean and well maintained.  We will definitely stay there again.

I Love This Campground! Fun, Clean, Lots to Do

I loved this campground! Would go back in a heartbeat. This was the first KOA I've ever stayed in, and I was worried it would be too cheesy/boring (in comparison to the forest/state/national park ones I tend to love), but it was totally fun.

Pros: Lots of clean bathrooms, warm swimming pool, lots to do including a whole forested area with swings, a fort, etc., games, ping pong, decent sized sites. Close to the entrance to Lassen Park.

Cons: Some tent sites were better than others. My favorite tent sites were T6. T7, T8 and especially T13.

Nice KOA with Pool Next to Lassen

Well-appointed, forested RV and camp/KOA spot near the entry to Lassen National Volcanic Park. The KOA has a wonderful swimming pool, a great outdoor game area, dirt-bike trails for the kids, rope swings, and a fort. Camp sites are nice if not a little small, though many have water and.or electricity available. RV spots are gravel pads but with full hookups available. There are also cabins available.

The main office has a small shop for food and other necessities, laundry facilities and showers available. My one critique is that while is says it has wi-fi, it is incredibly sporty and slow.

The real advantage to this location is it puts you at the doorstep of amazing Lassen, as it’s only 20 minutes away.
