Bare Necessities

Homestake Dry Camp is just that, a dry camp. There was a porta-potty (would hate to be the poor guy that has to service it), but no water as the name implies or tables.  Lots of rock fire rings and plenty of room for your friends.

This is a great place to stay for getting early morning, late evening and night shots on the Racetrack. The night sky is amazing.

The campsite is past the south end of the playa. It is almost 10 miles south of Teakettle Junction.
