Description
The Granite Mountain Corridor ACEC occupies a scrubby high-desert ridgeline above the Mojave River valley, and this dispersed pull-out sits beneath a transmission line corridor with open views across the valley below. The gravel road leading up is rough but passable for 2WD; a large gravel flat at the base of the climb accommodates rigs of any size. The upper area is slightly sloped — fine for sleeping, though leveling gear is useful — and occasional road traffic is the main disturbance on an otherwise quiet night.
