Over sized sites with over sized price
Stayed in the first loop at site 3. These are considered double size site and are also double the price. $84/ night for a USFS camp site with flush toilets in a neighboring loop and overflowing trash cans.
The campground is walking distance to the waters edge. It has double and quadruple sized sites within cedar bluff and the lupine side has more typical single sites. All sites have a table and fire pit. Not all loops have a designated bathroom building.
The single sites are very tight. I’m not sure anyone with a towable set up could fit, maneuver and set up comfortably.
The double size sites are def the way to go, but the price seems way too high for not having hookups or even adequate facilities. Bear lockers were not at every site.
This entire area along bass lake is crowded and the visitors do not take care or respect the grounds and lake. Trash and litter can be seen all around. The trash cans over flow and bagged trash was outside the bear safe dumpsters.
The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful.
