We stayed 3 nights in early May and just loved it. Weekends it looks pretty packed but we were lucky to start mid week. Staff is extremely friendly and facilities were the cleanest I’ve ever seen! Campsite was fairly large but we had a spot that wasn’t so private. Site 28. Must bring your bikes as there is an awesome bike trail through the campsite that reaches around the lake. Overall we loved it and will be back. Caution for other newbies to high elevation camping we had some Issues with starting propane lighters and our heater. Nights are chilly in May still. We also had a strange helicopter our first night hovering over us at an odd hour but didn’t experience that the following 2 nights.
