Sage Flat Campground is located near Big Pine in the Inyo National Forest. The area features flat terrain with scattered sagebrush and is surrounded by the Sierra Nevada mountains. Temperatures can range from lows in the 30s Fahrenheit during winter to highs in the 90s in summer. Nearby attractions include the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest and the Owens River, offering opportunities for hiking and fishing.

Family campground - most sites in shade. 28 campsites. Somewhat open - not a lot of vegetation screening between sites. Bearproof food storage containers provided in the campground.

Great sites for small RV’s or tent camping. Very funny and welcoming camp host David Mac. Would recommend this camp to anyone looking to get away from the crowds you’ll find further north in the eastern sierras.
