Disappointed

Site is still charging campers full price for extended camping(14days) was told showers and restrooms available then suddenly they closed the facilities without notice. Was helping disabled person and his family who is currently homeless with the campsite and he now needing to look for somewhere else to go because there is nowhere for them to shower or use the restroom when needed.

Great for the weekend!

Fantastic park to bring the kids and ride the bike trails or fish. Several pavilions and playgrounds. Clean campground. NO SEWER at campsites which is the only reason for the 4 stars. We stayed 7 days and had to move to pump out twice during our stay, so it was slightly inconvenient. Other than that, we loved it and will be back for shorter visits!

2 Days Nice

A little older of an area. Stayed in site B10. Close to level. We have a 36' 5th wheel, tow vehicle, plus another vehicle. Easy entry into site and large enough for all vehicles. Asphalt with concrete patio. There is a picnic table and fire ring. 50/30/20A We can kind of see the river from this site. Very roomy sites in the woods with plenty of shade. Mostly dirt ground. Older but clean restrooms. We didn't use them. There are single person combined toilet and shower rooms at the front of park. There are mountain bike/hiking trails all over, even a little bike park with ramps and jumps. Playground and boat ramp. No sewer hookups, but there is a dump station. Lots of mosquitoes in the evening. Although some sites need maintenance and the restrooms are old, this is a nice park. We stayed 2 days and would definitely stay again.

Basic but Good Enough

You have to reserve your site in advance via Recreation.gov.

The park is adequate but nothing fancy. The restrooms /shower facility was clean.

Good bicycle park. Minimum 2 night stay when I reserved it (Friday Night). I only needed 1 night but paid for both - $26/night.

I didn't stay the second night because of my schedule, not because of the park. Good basic stay for the money. It was safe and clean.

Nice stop over

Stopped for one night. Nice and quiet on the water. Bring screen room or bug repellent for biting flies and no-seeums. We stayed at end of August which is typically bug season I’m sure.

Quiet and Peaceful

Spacious level sites on concrete pads. Government operation so lawn maintenance is only adequate. Restrooms were clean. Didn't use showers but were available. Fishing nearby on river jetty or by the dam. Dump station is clean.

Springhill Park-Barling, AR

Great park with excellent hiking and mountain biking trails. Beautiful view of the river. A-16 is an easy spot to back in too. Decent shade and perfectly level.

Nice wooded camping

We really liked the dark, quiet camping on the B loop on a Sunday night. Great starting point for a morning run.

Beautiful Park with waterfront sites

Five star experience, except for the showers, which were gross. The bathrooms were otherwise fine - functional and on par with what you’d expect in a park. The campsites were very nice. We had a spacious site with plenty of room between us and our friendly neighbors. Our concrete pad at site A5 had a bit of an incline, and it looked to be the case for some others as well, but I can’t speak for all. My favorite part was the rock outcropping at the river by our site. It felt like we had our own little dock to cast off from. I saw two playgrounds in the park, one was close to our site, with both locals and travelers playing. We only stayed one night, but I would have been happy with another day.

Nice & relaxing

Got site next to AK river. Nice & quiet spot, lots of birds. Nice RV neighbors. They made me put up a tent even though I was sleeping in my car. That was a bit annoying, but I think it’s state law (no overnight sleeping in cars). Bathrooms a bit outdated but worked. Guy said showers on other end had warm water for longer time.

Great campground

Really nice campground you have two options in the A section you are right one a small river and one the B side it’s more of the wooded option but most sites have the Arkansas rive close by with mountain biking tails and hiking trails they have a nice pond on the ground and a play area

Great Public Campground

Beautiful park- right on the river.  Wooded lots in most cases, large lots with great space between sites.   Drop Kayak, SUP right off the back of your site.

Some sites are a little uneven.   And some sites are tough to get a 41ft 5th wheel into.

Stayed only one night but would look be nice to stay here much longer.  Quiet, water views n most cases.

Stayed 2 nights in A Loop. 30 Amp hook upwithsome of the best water I have ever had. Only 35 ppm on my zero water tester. Bottled water has had more than 75 ppm. Looking forward to coming back again.

Close to everything

We camp here a lot because it's close to home. Very reasonable and easy access to bank fishing. Clean bathrooms with hot showers. Offers shaded spots or some that are a little more open. Two loops to choose from. Site are spaced appropriately so you're not right on top of your neighbor.
