Empty nesters enjoying the outdoors. Upgraded to a large Class A.

Resort Style Campground

This is our winter “home”. We stay 4 months here. Large paved sites with paver patios the length of the site. Most sites are ~60’ or longer. 2 Pickleball courts, pool, clubhouse and nearness to downtown Punta Gorda is great.

Upscale RV Resort

Really Nice Upscale Resort - in its first full season (2nd year open).

Large sites, brick surfaces with large patios and ample space between sites.    2 Pools, 3 pickleball courts, 3 shuffleboard courts, large club house.

Creek on edge of resort takes you into Terra Ceia Bay - free kayak rental.     many social events and just one very nice upscale resort.

First to Review
Large Sites - 80ft long+

Campground just outside of fun, nice Hays, Kansas.

Nearly no trees, but extra long sites - probably 90 feet long.     Almost all are pull-thru.

Easy to make reservations, Laundry, small RV store, nice overall campground.

older campground

Granted we arrived after some heavy rain (I guess), but it was tough to get around without walking thru mud.   Taking the dogs out for their business you came in with a filthy animal.    The sites were really tight and it was tough moving around the campground with a 41ft 5th wheel.    Saw other large rigs having difficulty getting into sites,

Good Overall Campground

Stayed here for two weeks in October.    Halloween weekends. this place is packed - but empties out Sunday Afternoons.    Tons of activities for all ages during the weekends.

Larger pull thru sites, laundry, pool, firewood,   lots of convenience.

Monroe is minutes away with every food, and convenience option needed.

Overnight Stay Campground

Stay here one night while passing thru to Florida.    It was clean, safe and very accommodating.    There is gas a convenience right at the entry to the park.    Good long pull-thru sites, FHU.     But road noise was a bit much, with an exit ramp right behind  the campground.   Semi-truck brakes were heard all night long.

But overall a good place for an overnight stay.

Nice Reliable Campground

Stayed here for one night.    Spaces are a little tight, but had our own patio and typical campground layout.    Lots of long timers.   Hosts/Owners were really nice and accommodating.   There was a Walmart and Lowes about 4 miles away and several convenience options.   There was a bit of road noise, but not too bad.

Nice Campground Along Mississippi River

Nice campground right along the Mississippi river.   They have open sites (no shade) right along the water and some Wooded sites with tons of shade.

Large pull thru sites, with your own space, but still a little close together.

Run down neighbor hood on the way to the park, but far from the road and a very safe place to stay.   The entry is a little "sketch" but really nice once you get in.    10-15 minutes to Memphis, TN.

Wiseacre Brewery in Memphis is well worth the stop and Beale Street is right there as well.

Great Public Campground

Beautiful park- right on the river.  Wooded lots in most cases, large lots with great space between sites.   Drop Kayak, SUP right off the back of your site.

Some sites are a little uneven.   And some sites are tough to get a 41ft 5th wheel into.

Stayed only one night but would look be nice to stay here much longer.  Quiet, water views n most cases.

Nice Reliable Campground

Our Second Stay here.   Passing thru both times.   Sites are large FHU, pull-through.   Propane, a small food service, nearby Diesel and convenience stores - right along Route 66.

Very clean, very accommodating facility.  Good dog area.  Super clean.

Great Little Capmground

Stayed here only 1 night - bit would love to come back for a longer stay.

Very Clean, very goos hosts/owners and a great location near the town of Geneseo and right along a river for kayak, Canoe, SUP activity.

Very Wooded sites - with old huge trees.   Sights are a little close together, but didn't feel crowded.

Also stayed during a vintage camper event and saw some great old-school campers and Motorhomes.

Great laid back campground with full hook ups

This was a great campground just south (3 miles) from Meeker Colorado. Roads and lots were gravel but well maintained. Sites are packed rock and pretty level. Full hooks ups with sewer, everything worked great. Even had good WiFi that allowed us to work all week. James the host was very friendly and accommodating. Right along the white river, flowing strong in late May. Saw deer 2 mornings. Sites are well spaced out, site 14 had a huge front area next site was ~50 yards away. Occasional road noise, but mostly the sound of the river. It is a no-frills campground, which suited this week stay just fine.

Great 1 Week Stay - Mid May

This is a 50+ community - for the first time I was really glad I was in my fifties.   Host are great and very accommodating.   Just ask and they will help you at.    Stayed for a week in one of the back-in sites in the South section of the campground.   The Uncompaghre River was about 30 yards behind the camp site - a short walk through the tall tree line.    The North Section of the campground are pull-through sits with great shade.   Tall Elms stand over nearly the entire North section.   Paved roads throughout.  large cement pads for the trailer and large concrete patios off each pad.   Grass otherwise covers the site.   Sites are large, no issues to fit my 43' 5th wheel and Truck.   12 miles to Montrose - a cute yet full sized town - anything you need is there.  Delta is about 15 minutes in the other direction.    Camp is located on the edge of the little town of Olathe.   They have a few restaurants, a new Brewery that just opened, a liquor store and a gas station.   Unable to venture into Olathe - do to COVID lock down. WiFi was good throughout the campground.

6 Night Stay

Friendly staff, easy bookings. Spaces are close together and many force you and your neighbor into the same grass area - doors open towards each other. You will certainly be forced to meet and interact with others. We were somewhat mid-COVID so they did very well to space people apart To be able to maintain distance. WiFi was pretty poor and I had a booster antenna as well. No cable. Everything else was very good - Power, Water, Sewer. A fair amount of road noise and lots of motorcycle road noise on the weekend. Positioned Against a rock ridge and had trails that went for a few miles - maybe more. Easy to get to even more trails and lots of hiking options. Liquor Store and Convenience Store across the street. Gas, Home Depot and a Camping World were within 2 miles. I think this campground would feel very tight when nearly full during non-COVID times.

2 week stay

Stayed 2 weeks at the end of February. Very clean, well maintained, didn’t feel too crowded on neighbors. Mix of full/long timers and some of us Nomads. A few social events but not a wide variety of activities. Only down-side was the road noise. Only a 2 lane road out front but more noise than expected. And sometimes disturbed the outdoor time. Didn’t hear the noise with the RV all closed up. Liquor store, gas/convince, couple restaurants within walking distance. Small brewery less than a mile down the road.

Overnight Stay Denver to Austin

Convenient location passing thru area. Very friendly staff, very clean. Full hook ups. Many pull through sites. There is a Love’s just up the road, could fuel up before getting back on the road and run up for any conveniences. Far enough from highway that you didn’t hear the noise. Large area for the dogs. Maybe a little pricey for an overnight stay, but if you want clean, easy, safe and convenient this is the place.

Great state park

Only one night passing thru, but this goes on the return for an extended stay list Campsites were large and spread out Large lake and water access Power and water at campsites Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. No problem getting thru park with 41ft 5th wheel. Hiking, water, open space - a perfect setting for a longer stay. Covered picnic tables, flat camp sites.

Sunday-Wed stay

Full hook ups. Friendly staff. Roads were paved it a little run down. Crushed stone pads were flat and easy to stabilize. Also good for keeping the dirt out. Cement area with picnic table was at every site. Several long time guests on East edge the rest of the park was wide open. Had good space for dogs. Backed up to a river and had its own pond. Along the river there was no issue with road noise. No recycle collection or Propane on site. Was a nice quiet stay in Early March

Lake Meade State Park in March

Stayed 2 nights in early March.   Lake View site #22, beautiful view from the lake's edge.   Most sought after site.    Was nearly all alone.  Power and Electric hook-ups.   Many hook-up options but no sewer.    Did have a dump station.   Roughly $20/night for premium site.    Some spots are a little close together, but the lake views and otherwise open areas make up for it.
