Well kept Oasis

Very nice spot to stay. The trees were wonderful and filled with so many types of birds including an owl.

Stars, meteor, snow, what’s not to love?!?!

I thought we were running away from the snow in Colorado Springs only to finally arrive here and get snowed on! But we are on a lovely flat spot, plenty of room to extend our canopy and slide, good water pressure, good electricity. Neighbors are not too close (I can see them but can’t hear their conversation). Bath house is clean and has ample hot water. Dog areas, fenced, about 100’x50’ and there are two of them. The dog areas are clean as well and the folks here provide poo bags.

We could see the stars but there was obviously light pollution from the low-standing lights in the park. However, that was the only light pollution and if you gave it some time, your eyes adjusted to see an amazing array of stars!

Check in at the gas station. It was super easy. WiFi was good. They request you don’t stream for obvious reasons. We would definitely stay here again!

Nice place to camp!

Place was clean and staff was friendly. We arrived after hours and didn't have paperwork in the mailbox like we were supposed to. Not sure if someone took it or staff didn't put it there, but luckily we had talked to staff prior and knew our spot.

A Sight to See

This place made our first camp spot with our new travel trailer a breeze. All sites are pull through, and level, with all types of sites available. Free dump and air compresser. Well stocked store (no alcohol for sale) with adjacent game/TV room with book and dvd trade or borrow and laundry for a fee. The shower rooms are great with locking private sink, toilet, shower. There is some highway and train noise. Meteor Crater is not to miss. I love the variety of trees placed at the sites. We would stay again.

Outstanding campground, convenient, clean and quiet

This was a two night stop for us on our way home in late November.  We wanted to see Meteor Crater, so this was the perfect stop.  We were very pleased with the campground.  It was literally right off the I 40, but you can't really hear the freeway.  The grounds are spotless, as were the showers and laundry area.  There are two dog runs right on site too.  The store has the basics and souveniers.  The owners run a tight ship, so it was quiet all night and day.  It's a great overnight stop, and there were a number of people who literally arrived in the dark and left before dawn.  It wasn't hot when we were there, but I imagine it gets really warm in the summer.  Thankfully, the campground has full hook ups, but little shade.

We will absolutely stop there again if our travels take us that way.
