Gem on the river

We spent the weekend at this state park in site 49. The site was large with water and 50 amps. There was also a fire pit and it was paved and level. There is free wifi but we couldn’t connect from the site. It’s just a short walk though and it was fast. There is a camp store with ice cream, firewood and other necessities and a cute cactus garden and tortoise habitat.

We spent a great deal of time in the water as it was 100 degrees. The ranger warned us to stay on the side of the river as the speed boats are fast and don’t look! We did as he said and had a blast.

The only negative is that the water from the house hookups smelled. We took showers and it had the smell of sewer. I’m not sure what that is about but after a day in the sand you need a shower!
