Raw coastline defines Yakutat Beach Campsite 2, a US Forest Service site within Tongass National Forest along the Gulf of Alaska. The site sits close to Yakutat Beach Campsite 3, roughly 0.2 miles northwest, making this stretch of beach a viable base for campers who want multiple nights with easy access to adjacent sites. Alaska coastal weather changes fast, so layered rain gear and a freestanding tent rated for wind are worth packing regardless of the forecast.
