Windfall Lake Cabin

Fishing and kayaking opportunities draw visitors to Windfall Lake Cabin, a US Forest Service site located within the Tongass National Forest. The $75 per night cabin accommodates tent campers and provides drinking water, restrooms, and a dump station, though RVs cannot access the property. Campfires are permitted with firewood available for purchase.

The forested terrain sits near both a creek and lake, offering direct water access for paddlers and anglers. Cell service reaches the area, and campers can make reservations in advance. Pets are not allowed on the property. For alternative accommodations, nearby options include Berry Patch Cabin and other forest service sites in the region.

Fee Info

Only one change per reservation for all Alaska cabins is allowed. Change is defined as a modification to the start or end date of the reservation; after one change has been made, if additional changes are desired, the customer must cancel the current reservation and re-book the new dates.
