Description
Along the Hope Highway corridor in Chugach National Forest, this roadside pullout faces Turnagain Arm — the narrow tidal inlet off Cook Inlet flanked by the Kenai and Chugach ranges — at near sea level. The mostly level gravel pad holds a few vans or a short Class C end to end, with open views of the water and a good chance of spotting belugas on an outgoing tide. Light cell signal reaches the spot, and the setting is noticeably quieter than other pullouts closer to the highway junction.
