Cave Creek Trail Backcountry Campground

Great site with nearby overlook

If you are through hiking the Pinhoti or doing one of the many Loop hikes in the area it is definitely worth checking out this site. There is a great overlook only a short hike away and the site itself is very large, level, and built up from many previous campers. Another big plus relative to many other sites in the area is water access. Although you will still need to hike a little ways along the Cave creek trail there is a pretty consistent water source that you can fill up at. This is also one of the less trafficked site so you won't have to worry about getting there early like you would with the McDill Point site. Check out my review of that campground for more details about the hikes in the area.
