Gorgeous spot to stay

Great communication with staff. Location is right off the highway but the camp grounds are deep in the state park so it’s so quiet and beautiful. The marina is home too so many boats and fishermen but that’s about 3 miles from the camp spot. Love it!

Camp grounds

As long as we been coming has it been this bad. Grass is over ankles. Roads has holes everywhere. Bathhouse needs so much updates. Shower stall are not clean very well.  We asked if someone could come and dig little trench so water could run off. Hasn’t seen anyone yet. Very disappointed with this vacation here this time

Great Camping & Lots to Do

Our second stay here. First was in the spring of 2020 when COVID had everything shutdown. Spent Monday through Friday and enjoyed our stay with some friends. Lots of old 1800 to early 1900’s homes to see, some offer tours. Providence Canyon and the Kolomoki Mounds State Parks in Georgia are an easy drive and worth the trip. Sites are easy to navigate, utilities are in good shape, and enough Verizon signal to stay in touch.

Relaxing lake vacation

Enjoyed the woods and fires plus a lake view. First time without sewer hookups and not a problem. Nice park!

Great stay in winter

We stayed at this campground in a pull through site in February on our cross-country adventure. Plenty of room for big rigs. Easy to navigate roads. Safe for kids to ride around on bikes for hours. Site are big and the one we were at backed up on woods. Great view of the lake and sunset.  Lots of beautiful space to explore in the park, even in the chilly weather. Will definitely have to come back in the Spring!

Great campground in nice state park.

This campground is spacious and sites have good spacing. At least in our section. Grounds maintained well. Staff friendly. We checked in late on Friday night and currently you have to check in at the lodge. Signage in the park not great. Signs small and faded. Campground had great water access for boating and bank fishing. There are boat docks in the campground area and launch close also. Campsite mostly level and drain well when raining. The outer loop sites are pull through but short. Staff said to call them if we did not fit into site. We fit with no problem. We had FHU with good verizon reception for calls but not so much for data. Some local TV stations also received. The park overall is mostly about boating and fishing with a nice marina/ store that sells fishing and camping needs. We will visit again.

Great weekend spot

We stayed here during our trip to Providence Canyon they have a ton of sites. Currently they have some sites closed for social distancing procedures. They have multiple little walking trails and great views of the lake. Boat launch and convenient store near the entrance of the park. All in all it was a nice place to camp.

Enjoyable stay

Nice campground clean. We stayed on a rainy week some campsites experience minor flooding. Very quite and peaceful. Would stay here again.
