Beautiful location

Beautiful location, small campground of only about 13 sites. They are clean and well kept. Bathrooms were clean and did not stink at all. The location is stunning although summer bugs are terrible, bring bug spray. It is high elevation and very little shade so be prepared. A shaded netting for the picnic tables would be ideal. If you are a fan of horses try to be at camp at 4:30. The nearby ranch has their horse run out to pasture at that time and it is beautiful. Proper bear storage is important. If you are an early riser you may hear wolves howl in the distance. No cell service with Verizon but at only $10 a night, it is a great escape.

Unbelievable Campground!

We stayed during the off-season so it was very quiet. Most nights we had the entire place to ourselves, but a few people did comethrough for day-use fishing and to hit the equestrian trails. Brooks Lake is fairly small but beautiful and nestled between two mountain ridges. There's hiking trails from the campground that were pretty and not strenuous. Verizon cell signal was non-existent, but it was great to get away! The bathrooms were open, even during the off-season, and clean! The road out from the highway wasn't too bad, a high-clearance vehicle is not required. Would absolutely stay again!

Great place to camp

Absolutely love this place. it’s absolutely beautiful there. Elevation is 9100 ft so it does get cold at night. We did stay in tents, not sure why it’s saying you can’t. I can’t wait to go back. The bathrooms are kept very clean also

Brooks

Living only 20 minutes from brooks lake, I always make it a goal to camp out their every summer. The views can't be beat and the fishing in both the lake a creek is unreal. Just watch out for the local grizzly bears and enjoy this amazing spot.

Site overlooking the water

A number of sites along the banks of the water. Some harder to get to than others if you intend to drive up to them because of mud (may have just rained before we arrived). Pit toilets available.

Stunning landscape

Bundle up if you come early! Hard-sided campers only; so this area is only suitable for RV's or pickup truck camping. Campground opens late June so check status online before you go.

Snow was still on the ground, but I'll take that over mosquitos. Was warm during the day with plenty of opportunities to hike nearby or just hang by the lake and fish. This is a pretty busy site, for good reason. Get there early to secure a site.

HARD SIDED CAMPERS ONLY NO TENTS

Bears are a serious threat here so you can’t even camp in a tent. We arrived with tents and were told we couldn’t sleep in our cars either so had to leave. YOU NEED A HARD SIDED CAMPER! We did get good looks at the place when we picnicked and hiked there before leaving. The road is dirt but should be accessible for most cars if it’s not too rainy. It was extra clean since the bears are such a big problem and it’s a little scary with all the bear warnings and visits. Real nice true wilderness feel though, great views, waterfalls, bluffs, on the way to Grand Tetons National Park.

Beautiful, great fishing

A dirt road to access the campground, a bit washboard but not bad. No tents or soft pop up campers because bears frequent the area. Keep bear spray handy. Camp was clean, camp host was very friendly. We visited over Labor Day it was very cold at night. I will definitely be back for more camping.
