This is our second visit to this campground. There is a huge construction project going on at the trailhead. We did not see any information on that when we booked. We planned to stay 8 days, we left early. The water had not been turned on yet either.water was turned on 4/1.Camp host informed us that if we had any day visitors it would be an additional $5 for each vehicle each day. We came to visit friends and family that reside there. An no information on that prior to visit. So I would suggest that you get a site away from the front entrance.
Very close to the Bighorn battlefield. Has full hook ups and we’re adding more while we were there. Also has electric and water areas also. There are trees in most sites but would probably be hot in the summer months. The owners are new(2seasons). Very nice Bathroom/shower area was very clean and nice. Really liked the large areas to walk dogs off leash as well.
Only area open was non electric sites. Closed down for season but still has access to sites and vault toilets. -fairly level site, with grill and fire pit. -lots of pine trees.and squirrels to torment the dogs -lake very close Stocked with many kinds of trout. Didn’t fish but many people were fishing. -seemed to be used by hunters while we’re were there. -I walked through the sites that had electric and they seemed pretty large and spaced really nicely. Not to crowded together -lots of hiking area. -no fee since no services
We had a terrible time trying to reach someone here to make a reservation but we finally did. -Huge hot pool. -Rest rooms have 2 stalls in women’s. -Showers-there are 4 but 2 are being repaired coin operated. .25 cents for 3 mins. -has full hook-up,pull through. Just electric and water sites as well. -shade available -pet friendly but not a lot of availability to walk other than in campground -next to train tracks.2 a day except Sunday -WiFi is inconsistent, no real cell coverage. -$45 a night
Nice sites. Nice layout. Pretty level site for RV. Fire ring and picnic tables. Quiet but we’ll see over the weekend when they are full.
Nice campground. Best outhouses in the state.
