It’s basic, it’s simple, it gets the job done! Looking for a free camp area in Lander? Well look no further than the Lander City Park!

That’s right, you can sleep, camp, park, RV right on the south end of the park. There are bathrooms and the river right along the park. What you see is what you get. You can camp anywhere on the super green lawn or chill in your RV or SUV/truck. It’s free! And that’s hard to beat (especially in this economy)!

It’s right in town so you get excellent service and you can go snag something to eat if you are tired of boiling water for cup o noodles. It’s at the park so you can grab all your new hobo friends there and go play a quick game of kickball on the diamond fields, show off your horseshoe throwing skills at the horseshoe pits (bring your own horseshoes) slam some spikes at the volleyball pit, tennis it out at the tennis courts, start a therapy session with strangers, jam out on your guitar on the stage (magic shows and interpretive dances are also allowed) or just dip your feet in the cool streams that run through the park.

It’s not much, but it’s an honest place. Respectable and non judgmental park because everyone is there doing the exact same thing you are doing. Just trying to pass the night to get to some incredible adventure the next day.
