We were only spending one night, car camping before catching the ferry to Victoria in the morning. But our hosts made this a wonderful experience with great communication. Being able to plug in an extension cord (for lights and CPAP — we’re seniors)  and have access to water almost made up for having to drive to the rest area a bit over a mile away for a bathroom — which would not be an issue for someone with a real camping rig! We were greeted by two deer when we first arrived, and they were there again in the morning to bid us farewell. (Of course we can’t make promises for the deer…!) Since this property has only one camp site, it is very private, although there residences on same wooded road, so it is  not deserted. All in all, a very pleasant experience.
