Lots of Spots In This Area

After a near disastrous attempt at finding a spot in the Champion Rd area (thought we would get stuck on that road) we came back down the hill and found this nice spot that was very easy to get to in our 26ft class c.

Even though we weren't at very high elevation, the weather was still cooler than Vegas, which was nice.

Cell reception was very, very weak.  The Verizon phone had a glimmer of an LTE signal with the cell booster, but the ATT phone had nothing other than a couple of texts popping up on a hike.

Our favorite part about this spot was all the hiking trails within walking distance.  Right across the highway is the Sawmill Trailhead which is where 4 different trails start, varying lengths so you can choose your difficulty.  Lots of horses use these trails as well so keep your dogs on leash.  The trailhead also has garbage bins and toilets in the day use area which was very convenient.
