Beware of the Locals

Great campground and especially beautiful in the autumn. Be warned it gets chilly at night even in September/October.

Best to stock up in Ludington rather than the local township (the Meijer is only a couple years old). Also, locals tend to drive a little too fast down the access road to Sulak Landing, but they're pretty good at avoiding pedestrians. This area is the most conservative place I've camped (worse than Oconee River, GA), but as long as you keep to yourself at the campground, others will do the same.

#10 is probably the best site for hammocks, followed by #11, #5, #2, and #1. #12 is probably the worst site for hammocks, followed by #3.

Two vault toilets, one at day parking lot, one down by the Landing; they could stand to be emptied more often. All sites have firepits and picnic tables. No water. Poor phone coverage. Privacy between campsites is pretty good, though privacy from the access road varies significantly from site to site.
