    Meridian, Texas

Welcome to Meridian State Park Campground, a charming spot nestled in the heart of Texas. This place is perfect for those who appreciate a quieter, more intimate camping experience. The campground offers a mix of tent, RV, cabin, glamping, and yurt accommodations, so there's something for everyone.

One of the standout features here is the lake, which is great for swimming, fishing, and kayaking. The water is clean and inviting, making it a favorite among visitors. The park also has several well-maintained trails that are ideal for hiking and biking. Just watch out for spider webs if you're an early morning hiker!

The campsites themselves are well-kept and come with amenities like electric hookups, drinking water, and picnic tables. Some sites are pull-through, which is a big plus for RV campers. Site 01 is particularly popular for its seclusion. If you're bringing a big rig, be aware that the sites can be a bit tight, but they are surprisingly level.

Pets are welcome, and there's even a market on-site for any last-minute supplies you might need. Firewood is available for purchase, and yes, you can enjoy a campfire here. Just make sure to clean up after your pets to keep the area pleasant for everyone.

The park staff are known for their friendliness and helpfulness, making your stay even more enjoyable. Kelly at the office gets a lot of shout-outs for her excellent service.

So, if you're looking for a peaceful getaway with plenty of outdoor activities and friendly faces, Meridian State Park Campground is a solid choice. Just don't forget your air mattress if you're tent camping—the ground can be a bit rocky!
