Welcome to USA RV Park, conveniently located near Gallup, NM. This spot is perfect for a quick overnight stay or a longer visit if you're exploring the area. The park is known for its friendly staff and well-maintained facilities. You’ll find full hookups for your RV, including sewer, water, and 50 AMP electric service.

The park has a patriotic theme that some visitors find charming. There’s a heated pool, a large outdoor chess game, and a playground for the kids. If you’re traveling with pets, there’s a nice dog run to let them stretch their legs. The on-site store is handy for picking up essentials, and the BBQ dinners and ice cream socials are a hit with many guests.

The sites are gravel and pull-through, making it easy to park even the biggest rigs. While the spots are a bit close together, the overall atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. The park is especially busy due to its prime location and limited camping options in the area, so it’s a good idea to make a reservation.

For those who need to stay connected, the WiFi works well, and both AT&T and Verizon have good coverage here. The bathrooms and showers are clean, and there’s a laundromat if you need to do some washing.

Whether you’re just passing through or planning to stay a while, USA RV Park offers a comfortable and convenient place to rest.

Welcome to Six Mile Canyon, a dispersed camping area nestled in the Cibola National Forest and National Grasslands in New Mexico. This spot is a hidden gem for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle. The area is known for its peaceful atmosphere and beautiful scenery, with green canyon bluffs and rolling hills providing a picturesque backdrop.

One of the standout features here is the sense of seclusion. Visitors have noted that the campsites are spaced far apart, giving you plenty of privacy. It's a great place to unwind and enjoy nature without the crowds. However, be prepared for a bit of a rough ride getting in. The road can be bumpy and muddy, especially after rain, so a vehicle with good clearance or 4WD is recommended.

While the area lacks amenities like toilets, showers, and drinking water, it makes up for it with its natural beauty and tranquility. Fires are allowed, so you can enjoy a cozy campfire under the stars. Pets are welcome too, so feel free to bring your furry friends along for the adventure.

For those who need to stay connected, some spots offer decent cell coverage, though it can be spotty depending on your provider. If you're lucky, you might even catch a stunning sunrise or sunset over the canyon.

Whether you're setting up a tent or parking an RV, Six Mile Canyon offers a serene escape with plenty of room to explore. Just remember to pack out what you pack in and leave no trace to keep this beautiful area pristine for future visitors.

    Fort Wingate, New Mexico

The campground offers a respite from the heat in a setting of aspen and mature ponderosa pine trees, approximately 6 miles south of Fort Wingate. This is the most recently renovated campground on the Mt. Taylor Ranger District. This area has a rich history of railroad logging, and the original town of McGaffey was built in the vicinity of McGaffey Lake a few miles down the road. Remember to pay attention to road conditions and your vehicle's abilities before driving off of the main road.

    Prewitt, New Mexico

Welcome to Bluewater Lake State Park Campground, nestled near Prewitt, NM. This spot is a gem for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle and enjoy some peace and quiet. The campground is open from April 1 to October 31, offering a range of accommodations including tent sites, RV spots, and even cabins.

One of the standout features here is the stunning lake views. Most campsites offer at least a glimpse of the lake, and some have a breathtaking panoramic view. The lake itself is a beautiful sight, especially at sunrise and sunset. Just be aware that the water can sometimes be affected by blue-green algae, but it still makes for a picturesque backdrop.

The campground is pretty well-equipped. You’ll find electric hookups at some sites, though they can be limited, so plan accordingly. There are also drinking water stations, toilets, and showers available, although the shower house might be closed at times. Just keep an eye out for horse droppings and some occasional trash. Overall, Bluewater Lake State Park Campground is a fantastic spot to relax, enjoy nature, and maybe even catch a glimpse of those wild horses.
