Beautiful site

We had site 18 which is right on the water and across from the shower house. It was decently spaced out from the other sites. The shore was pretty level and easy to get our kayaks in and out. The shore is shallow and mostly sand. Nice for swimming. We did catch one bass off the shore. The firepit grate was most of the bars so that made grilling a little harder. Be aware the sites to the east are higher elevation and looked like it was steep to get down to the water. Shower house was nice and clean. The first night we did hear a bunch of teens yelling at the shower house around midnight, but they either got kicked out or left because we didnt hear them again. The waterfront sites are on the main road, so you do hear all the RVs coming and going. Definitely will go back!

Great campground on a beautiful lake

Boulder lake is amazing and is located conveniently close to the Wolf river, which has whitewater rafting and trout fishing. The lake is not very deep, which is great for swimming or water recreation. Not the best fishing but excellent campground. Has showers and up to date bathrooms.

Heart of Wisconsin

This is such an awesome campground located right in the Nicole National Forest. The lake is super clean, the sites are very nice, and it’s nice and secluded. Enjoy the drive in!

Perfect Timing Memorial Day Weekend

We went rafting on the Wolf River and decided to camp at Boulder Lake. It was Memorial Day weekend and rainy, so there wasn't a lot of people camping. We drove around and picked out an amazing site, then reserved it on the spot. We were right on the lake and woke up to a cool view. Also woke up to someone snoring, and some loud ducks and frogs, but it was all good. lol Toilets and showers were clean, camp host was friendly. We drove quite a ways for firewood, but later found out we could've bought it someplace closer.

We love it!

We chose this campground on a whim since we wanted to be near Lakewood where I would spend summers as a kid. We love this place and ended up choosing it for both of our camping trips last summer. We in fact got the same exact site and it’s our favorite anyway. This campground is pet friendly- We took our bulldog camping with us. We checked out the beach and it was very accessible. The showers , Bathrooms and Vault Toilets were all clean. We did enjoy the hiking on the campground but there were some parts that were a little overgrown. Overall we love this place and it’s our go to!

SiteCan’t remember....I only remember it by seeing it.

Boulder Lake

Nice campground with electric at some sites and showers! Lake is a good size and beach is very nice. Personally prefer the lake sites, most have sandy beach like areas right by campsite then!! Reservations can be made, which is always nice!!

Beautiful

Big, beautiful Lake. Friendly campground hosts. Nearby towns. Nearby firewood. One of my favorite places to camp.
