Wonderful experience

Best base camp for any trip to the Dells.

On-site laundry, pools, golf carts, boats, and that floating obstacle course... There are so many more ameneties available that we didn't have time to experience them all. All our needs were met, and our stay was plesant. The staff here was just so so very kind and accomodating... We definitely plan a return to Holiday Shores.

Building Family Traditions

My gf family has been camping at this resort for years as a summer tradition and it has now become part of our summers. Pros:

  • Big Campground with lots of tent sites
  • Watersports store with boat rentals
  • Great Pool
  • Campground Activites on weekends
  • Awesome Donuts and Ice Cream

Cons:

  • Rentals are a bit pricey
  • Bathrooms by the pool arent cleaned as often

River Sites Make The Experience

Campground had limited availability so we had to stay at multiple sites. Day 1 was in pull thru section with absolutely no trees or privacy. Packed in tight. Next night was on river...wow what a difference! Site 1 is very private with path leading to water. It didn't even seem like the same campground! We rented a pontoon and enjoyed the water and scenery. Very nice!

Impatient Campers

The site we stayed at this time was kind of hard to get in. The site was wide (which is nice) but when backing in you are in a 3 way intersection. One road is supposed to be one way but NO ONE follows this rule and there's not proper signage. Due to that, we had 5-10 cars/golf carts going by as we tried to maneuver into our spot and they did not wait at all. The second they had barely space they drove through which was distracting and dangerous. Going out was the same thing except it was extremely easy to pull out of the site as opposed to back in and get close to the water/electric.

The low rating is for the clientele there. They cut you in line and act as if they are superior to us which was really annoying. We have stayed here before and it's always the same kind of people. I know the campground isn't responsible but they flock to this place!

It's a really hilly campground so keep that in mind that you will be walking up lots of hills (I don't mind that and it makes the campground really pretty).

We didn't go swimming this weekend because it was a bit chilly but they have a pool and a beach on the river where you can swim too.

Great place for families

Holiday Shores is a large campground. Wonderful customer service. We stayed in a waterfront lot and had Beautiful views. Clean facilities. There is a lot to explore and have fun in the campground. Near the Dells for a quick drive to downtown too.

Great Location

This campground fills up fast due to how close it is to the Dells so plan ahead. Also, the spots seem to be mostly seasonal spots so that makes it harder to get in as well.

Close to Dells strip, has a great spot to swim with big inflatables for kids to climb on.

The site was nice, a pull through but not part of their newer sites that are all paved so it's closer to the pool. Kids had a blast here and we already booked to go again this year! Helps that we know someone me who has a seasonal spot.

Love love love!

What is not to love about Holiday Shores? So much to do! From renting boats to go out on the river, to swimming in the pool! This Campground is a great place to go to! You can rent jet ski's, pontoons, pleasure boats, you name it! This Campground is also super close to Wisconsin Dells, so you can always go into town and do your shopping, water parks etc. 10/10 highly recommend!!
