Cold camping
Very nice place, easy to book reasonable price because of winter season they close the bathroom, but there is a jiffy John waste, dump station have water and laundry, if needed

The website for this business is deceptive and highly deceptive.
This is not a“truly modern” campground. The internet was intermittent at best. There is one pool, not two. The sites are nowhere close to“spacious.” The fire ring was a 10” trailer wheel whose size did match the 5 foot picnic table and couldn’t even fit small logs.
The presentation of this business as somehow affiliated with Shelburne Farms is disingenuous and deceptive. The location of the site adjacent to a poorly maintained motel only a few hundred yards off a major roadway is not mentioned and was not conducive to“relaxation and peacefulness.”
Nice campground, clean restrooms and shower, no coin op showers!
We only stayed about 12 hrs overnight. Bathrooms with showers were fresh and clean.
Sites have a bit of privacy, only a few permanent residents, pool was clean and good, and most importantly it was right where we wanted to stop between two cooler places. If you’re looking for that, or have business/pleasure in town, it’s great. I’d hesitate to call it a “destination” in and of itself.
We have a “big rig” 40’ 5th wheel with 4 slide outs. Called them same day from Capital Region Welcome Ctr in NY, about 3 hrs away (below Albany). They had a full hook up, pull-thru corner space for us. Offered parking for our truck right across lane on separate site. Super nice owners! Went over COVID questions and after hour check-in instructions. We came in just after it got dark. Loved town of Shelburne. Awesome little shops and great, well stocked little local grocery store. Authentic Italian restaurant in grocery store parking lot...picked up delicious strombolis. Due to COVID, mostly call ahead/pick-up or drive thru for many things...incl. delicious coffee in town at Village Wine & Coffee and AWESOME cider donuts at Shelburne Orchards! Only a 20 min drive into downtown Burlington. Took narrated tour on Ethan Allen ferry on Lake Champlain. Shopped in artsy town. Extended our stay for TWO extra nights. Will def come back. Didn’t need to use, but noted that bathrooms were immaculately clean.
we used to live in shelburne and recommended the campground to familg staying in the area to visit. it‘s very close to museums, the town, and farm areas. if yoy want a campground with a view this isn‘t a favorite. it is well kept, but we prefer staying in and north of burlington when we come back to the area.
This campground was convenient for us. The place is more like a trailer park with a lot of long term RV rentals. Bathrooms were clean.
While the site itself was small (only room enough for barely 2 cars and 1 tent) it made up for it in other big ways! First off the staff and proprietors were INCREDIBLEY kind and helpful. They ensured we had everything we needed and answered any questions we had. Second off, the amenities (for a small local campground) were adequate and free). Lastly, the location was perfect, just outside of Burlington made access to the area ideal.
This site has great facilities and is close to Burlington which is really convenient. In October, you get a second night free! The only downside is that the campsites are pretty small and close together so noise can be an issue (it was for us because our neighbors stayed up talking late into the night). We would camp here again. Also, the site is close to the highway which is convenient but it also means you hear the traffic all night.
Camped here for the Burlington Questival. Perfect place to hang out with friends and be outdoors. Love that it's open year round!
small camping areas but all you need for a quick place to camp if your passing through. Or just want a quick place to go camping
Good location !!
We didn't advance book, so we were in one of the last available spots. Site 2 is a flat, gravel back in, 30 amp, full hookup. We were near the pool (didn't feel warm, so we didn't partake) and office. With no privacy or nature around us, we were surrounded by permanent residents and the one spot that most people stayed at only over night. We didn't mind much, as we really used this location as a base to do all the touristy things in the area and spend time in Burlington. The grounds had gravel walking paths to the bathhouse that cut through the sites and had landscape lighting so there was barely a need for flashlights if heading there at night. The grounds were landscaped well, and they were changing flower beds over to mums for fall during our stay.
Check out their weekly rate, that cut our cost down. I think the daily rate is in the $40s.
The bathhouse was clean. The ladies side had a fresh flower arrangement everyday. We did a few loads of laundry: $2 to residential wash (2 washers) and .25 for every 10 min in an industrial dryer (2 dryers). It looked like one washer had been used to wash something majorly dirty, so we only used the other clean washer. That was a bummer, but we survived.
The campground's website does a great job explaining how close they are to all the area attractions and we couldn't have been more pleased. We did all things super local in Shelburne and Burlington and also ventured out to do some hiking, sightseeing, and food tours.
Working was a breeze. The campgrounds wifi worked really well and we were finally able to do some website work. We had no issues with our 9-5 jobs. Connecting and taking calls on Verizon and AT&T worked well, we didn't really need our WeBoost at all.
Don't freak out like we did - if you're getting to the campground from the north slightly past the campground sign there is a turn off from the right lane with a stop light to easily turn around (the road is divided).
Took stars off for noise because every single day they were mowing, weedeating, taking a tractor around to spread around gravel. It was always something! It became a joke after a few days - how much mowing can a small campground need?!? That includes mowing our own site, going around our RV and lines. We weren't thrilled.
All in all, a great place to stay in the area. We would definitely stay again.
