Great dispersed camping spot

Great spot in the desert close to Arches, Canyonlands and Moab to camp. We very much enjoyed our time here...we were able to find level spot. Had one bar of cell phone reception. We had star link so didn't have to worry about that.

We had four other people close by but we were still spread out enough for it to be quiet and private. Not as close as a regular campground.

Great for stargazing, mountain biking etc.

Great Location and Lots of Space

Our group loved this campsite. The space was huge and spaced out from the other sites. The location is just about in the middle of Arches and Canyonlands. Clean bathrooms and dumpster access.

Big group area

This is a large area with 5 group camping pods. Each has a large table and a shade awning and fire ring. Two vault toilets and a large dumpster. NO water or sewer hookups. No trees or any veg for shade, this area looks like a repurposed gravel borrow pit to me. Sites are reservation only.

Meh but Does the Job

BE MINDFUL OF WIND! These group sites are very exposed and have little to no cover and can be extremely dangerous on a windy day/night. We stayed here in mid-June 2020 and were actually instructed to leave by a ranger because the winds were projected to be so strong that night.

Actual campsites are okay and are definitely great for larger groups, but I would personally avoid this one if you only have a couple of people in your party. Pit toilets were clean but a little far away from the campsites.

Great views, big sites

We were looking for dispersed camping but found this instead. It was completely empty in early November. We had a pano view of the Mesa. There are toilets, picnic tables, fire rings. The sites are large and very spaced out. I believe a lot of people pass it up because it is a “group“ area but it is worth checking on this to see how full it is.

Wonderful. Quiet. Great Scenery

Great Campground for groups or solo sites. Beautiful scenery and you will catch a great sunset. A little bit off the beaten path from city center in Moab but worth the drive.
