Raymond B. Winter State Park Campground

A great place to camp and spend time with family and friends, you can enjoy lots of trails and explore the woods, and also a great place to enjoy the night sky, see the stars and the Milky Way in the summer months. 

Great place to camp.

Private, trees, beautiful, remote &amp; mountainous forest park with a pretty lake. Hiking &amp; biking. Gorgeous in the fall with spectacular mountain views nearby. Quiet. Do it. Had a wonderful time here even in the rain.

AWESOME

This is a great place to escape from the business of everyday life. Bordering bald eagle state forest, RB winter is in a serene wilderness. Nice campground, I have been here many times. The swimming area is a favorite during the summertime. The mountain stream-fed lake is brisk and refreshing. You can also fish in the lake for bass and trout. There is a large picnic area by the beach and pavilions for parties. Nice up to date facilities, well-maintained hiking trails and you are sure to see wildlife (Black Bear, wild turkey, white tailed deer, birds, etc).

Away from it all

A lot of people out here and it's a very big spot. With a lake a beach to swim in, it has a lot to offer and gives off good vibes all around.

That it is a beautiful campground well maintained and one of the nicest bathhouses in any state park I have been to. Came in spring this year and will be going back in August for more fun. The children love it and can’t wait to come back too.

Beautiful campground and state park

We stayed for two nights on our way home to GA, but could have stayed for weeks.  It felt like home.  What a forest!  Huge pines and hemlock, ferns everywhere.. just stunning.  The grounds are extremely well maintained and clean.  Our site (3) is awesome!!!! 150 feet of creek frontage backed by a beautiful playing field carved out of the forest.  The lake is small, more like a pond, but super cold and clean water, as it is fed by two mountains streams.  The beach is amazing.  Tons and tons of clean sand, no rocks, and lots of space to play and swim.  The concession stand is so cool.  They have great food, lots of treats, and beach supplies and toys too, all reasonably priced.  The trails here feel like the pacific northwest.  Gorgeous.  The campground is small and quiet.  My favorite campground so far.
