A great place to camp.

It's a small place it only has seven sites. There are many trails and also botanical garden. On a clear day you can see snow cap mountains and the ocean in July.

Primitive But Awesome

There are only six spots, fairly spread out. Beautiful surroundings. The trails up to the top of Mary’s Peak are absolutely beautiful. There were two prot-a-pottys and a vault toile which were pretty clean. The sites are on a slop which makes it a little challenging but well worth it.

flies, no water, and no privacy

This is a fine campground, just remember that there is no water anywhere nearby. Also encountered a massive amount of horse flies and normal black flies, which swarmed me every time I tried to cook. It's also very open and you can see into every campsite, and hear people driving fast and loud on the main road. Had a way better time camping along the Alsea river on HWY 34.

My hometown CG

This is one of the closest campgrounds to Corvallis. It’s fine, nothing fancy about the campground. Setting is wooded but not a ton of privacy across the CG.

Mary’s peak hiking is incredible. The peak is the highlight, unbeatable views. There’s also great old growth forest trails. And if you try hard you’ll find an amazing waterfall trail about a half mile down the HARLAN Rd. Take a left off the Mary’s peak rd about 200 yards befor the winter gate.

Very basic and secluded.

This is one of the most primitive campgrounds I've seen. There were a few old picking tables, fire rings, and one vault toilet. We were the only ones there during the peak of camping season. There were lovely flowers and raspberries growing nearby. A few dead branches feel during the night, which was a little underling.

Best camping near Corvallis

This is a great small campground for those close to Corvallis.

It is easy to get to, just a windy road. The winter does close this early, depending on the amount of snow that falls.

Has nice size sites and fire pits. Its a great place to take a group of friends to get away for a night.

Can get cold at night since it is at a higher altitude and weather changes quickly. Great hikes around the peak as well.
