Small 9 site campground just off of OR-126, little bit of road noise during the day, not noticable to us at night. Camp is along Knowels Creek. Sites 7 & 8 are "premium" for an extra two dollars, you have a better view of the creek and can look down stream a ways.

We camped in a 26' travel trailer, worked well for us. Filled out water tank on sight at one for the water spots before parking. Host was nice, firewood was available

About 20 min from Florence, which is on the Oregon Coast. Better spot for fuel and groceries if needed. Cp is just outside of Mapleton, a cute little town.

About 15 mins away is the Sweet Creek Falls trail, a fairly easy out and back hike.

If you happen to be heading home through Eugene, don't forget the free dump at Eugene waste water treatment plant

This is a nice small USFS campground right off the hwy and right along the creek.  It's run by Lane County Parks.  There's definitely highway noise, but the highway wasn't too busy when we were there.  The campground is nice and clean and well maintained.

No power or sewer, but there are several water spigots throughout the campground, as well as restrooms.

Host on site.

Cell service weak. 

Sites are paved and level and there are a few ADA accessible ones.  They're along the water, which was nice.  Each site has a fire pit and a picnic table.

Limited to like 8 or 9 sites. No hookups and was very mellow last I stayed there. Bathroom on site. Close to highway, but, it wasn't too loud after dark.

Small campground, I feel it’s too close to the highway because of the road noise and loose pets or even small children could wander to the edge of the highway.

Stayed here once because no other places available. It was clean, but a bit loud, and no privacy. It is a few miles from Mapleton, and right next to the highway. The area is very beautiful and the creek is nice. I didn't hate it, but also did not love it. I recommend going to clay creek or Whittaker creek if possible.

Wayside campground just outside of Mapleton, OR. We stayed here when we made a last minute trip to Florence, OR and all other campgrounds were full. This is a Primitive campground with no hookups. There is a small restroom in the park, but no showers.

There is no playground, but its located a long a small creek that my kids loved playing in with their sand buckets.

Overall a nice place, when you need a place to stay near the coast.

This campground is finally reopened after being closed for a few years. It is a beautiful setting and they have been restoring the riparian zone surrounding the creek/river. Unfortunately, the road is very loud and the main route to the coast from the southern Willamette valley. There is little between the campsites and the road in the way of sound barriers. Maybe in the coming seasons more greenery will grow and block some of the road noise.
