1 day stay

pretty ghetto camp spot, especially for the price which was 33 for a tent spot, they also decided to do lawn maintenance at 9 in the morning which woke us and other campers up showers also only had hot water for three minutes. But if your in a pinch and need a spot this will do

SiteThey just tell you camp in the grass

Very disappointed

We stayed here about 3 years ago and it was great so we decided to ask our friends to join us sadly it was not a good experience. It started out great till Wednesday night the host had friends camping near our site and they were very loud my kids in the tent had a hard time sleeping but we let that go then Thursday my daughter ran to the store and left her little dog with us who has anxiety and she was crying for a little while and the maintenance man came over and was very rude saying we have to do something with her or something was going to happen. I then asked about big garbage bags as we were using the gazebo and the people before us left a 50 gallon garbage can full of stuff which was moldy and a lot of liquid my boys had to take that to the dumpster anyway he got attitude and told me that we have to supply those. I said whatever I have my 13 gallon bags. so clearly they don’t clean the gazebo’s there was mold all over the cupboards and the sink was leaking and backing up So next day we are all hanging out with our dogs and he comes back and starts yelling telling us our dogs was crying again I then stepped in and told him that it is not our dogs. Meanwhile dogs are barking continuously from 5:30 am to night I went and talked to host and she was very rude she tried to tell me the dog was crying for 6 hours which was very incorrect I told her how rude the maintenance man was and she said well that he is very protective of her and she was going to kick us out the day before. All over a 5 pound dog who they can hear all thru the park. To end it rest of the party came on Friday and in there spot was a bloody tampon and pad instead of harassing people they should be cleaning things up. There was dog crap on sidewalk by bathrooms that was never picked up. If you have pets or kids just beware of what kind of people that are running it. Sadly they have lost our business and the other 6 parties that we had we will never be back.

Quiet pretty

When everything else was full on the coast this is the place to go for quiet. For tent campers and van camping just pull out into the meadow and find a quiet nook. Pretty creek. Big shade trees. Some fire rings out there but no tables. Also Full hookups for RVs in paved parking lot with tables. Clean bathrooms with no pay showers and even a heat lamp above shower. Elk came right through camp too.

RV campground with several elk herds

We were shut out of Oregon Coast state park campgrounds so we found Wapiti RV Park using our Benchmark map. Some RV parks do not accept truck campers but Wapiti does. They have full hookups which we don’t use so we were assigned a site that had water and power. The bathrooms were not in use but we are self-contained so this was no issue.

One of their elk herds came out that late afternoon to browse. Someone counted 53 animals.

There is a garbage dumpster and the water was potable. They have a large meeting room and lots of fields to wander.

We paid $25 for our site.

Not too exciting

Rather boring , grassy park close to a creek. No swim area, TV sites close, tent sites spread out but not really private. It appeared that retired couples rendezvous there for community. The Elks clubhouse is on the premises. Not a place I would chose unless nothing else was available close to the beach. Maybe ok if you had a large group. ..really nothing there.

A Hidden Gem

This used to be part of the Elks system of rv destinations but has been sold to private owners who still honor an Elks discount to members camping there. we stayed here in the fall of 2017 as we traveled home down the Oregon coast. Having stayed in Lincoln City at the casino rv park and not being impressed In the past we rolled south lookIng for another optIon. Just south of town(2-3 mIles) we saw a lIttle roadsIde sIgn wIth the traIler logo and word “campIng“ and an arrow to the next left turn....I took the turn and about 3 mIles Inland found a charmIng little campground wIth some water/ electrIc hookups and a dump statIon as well as no hookup and tent sites wIth a large expanse of green meadow. We stayed one nIght wIth hookups and another In the meadow as we had made no advance reservatIons. Helpful staff, very mellow, positIve old school vibe and Inland enough to be cool but sunny midday as the coastal fog burned off. Not glampIng but also not prImItIve and a farmlIke setting wIth lots of open space. WIll defInItely return whenever In the Lincoln City area. class C rv, two adults and a Lab
