Amazing grounds for the price!

Although it's in the middle of the desert, this campground has amazingly soft parade grounds for for tons of outdoor games. The trails around the golf course and the views of the canyon and river are amazing. There is local restaurants and taphouses within a few minutes drive. There is a pool available to you for your stay that has a snack bar directly adjacent to it. If you are bringing an RV or travel trailer, I recommend bringing blocks for your stabilizers as some of the sites have a decent slope to them.

Its all right for one night

Its quite expensive for what its offered. In addition to the park fees you have to be for showers as well. Also we were friendly advised to leave the whole property after checkout. We parked the car on a normal parking place after checkout just to take a last walk on a trail, although there was enough space since a lot visitors left already and it was quite empty. So they take it quite serious with the rules. Also there is a golf resort next bye and not many trees so you feel quite exposed.

Fun Family Camping

Our family members have been coming here for years. Well maintained grounds, pool access, golf course, playground, grass. Full hook ups. Coin Laundry. Close to Smith Rock and other Central Oregon adventures. The only drawback is coin showers, so bring quarters or use your own.

Plan for a hike

This is a nice campground, clean, quiet and lots of things to do. Folks in office were very nice and helpful. Sites were good, gravel and sand. We had a end site so we had lots of room. Be sure to checkout the overlook at the campground,it’s worth the short hike. Sandbagged saloon is great for a bite to eat and within walking distance of the campground.

Great Place for RVers that Golf

Easily checked in and proceeded to pull-thru site D14 for our 6 night visit. When we got there the people in 13 had pulled in the wrong direction, so if we pulled in the right way we would step out our door into their picnic table. We had friends in 14a, which is probably one of the best spots in the campground so we reversed our pull through direction where we faced their 5th wheel. This set up worked very well as we had a nice yard between us. After talking with others, we found out that a lot of campers pull-in the opposite direction so their back window faces the picturesque mountains. Glad we faced that direction as well. Looking at the campground as a whole, loop D, 5-14 are actually pull throughs but the map does not show that. There was a fire road that runs behind these sites that makes them pull throughs and quite easy to get into. Loop sites throughout this park vary greatly on space between sites, so your neighbors could be nearby to very close, none of the sites were spacious. We walked Matt’s Trail that goes around the park. CRR does not provide a map of Matt’s trail that includes an observatory over the canyon. This trail is hike at your own risk as it does go near the cliffs plus they state rattle snakes but we did not see any. Nice mile or so trail that works its way around the campground areas and some of the golf course. Be sure to keep your dogs on a leash due to the cliffs and possible critters.

Incredible but you need coins

We stayed here for 2 days. It’s an incredible place with lots of activities to do around it (hiking, golfing, cute towns to shop in) My only issue was the bathrooms were clean and great but you needed quarters to take a shower. I don’t carry quarters and usually only use them for laundry but add the shower fee to that it was easily 6-8$ in quarters and no one would give me that. There is no quarter machine on the premises. Otherwise it was awesome.

Great stay. Very quiet at night due to it being off the road. Being by the canyon is peaceful and scenic. The Terrebonne area provides a ton of hiking activities. Smith Rock State Park is just down the road.
