Nice campground but...
Nice campground on the lake. Well maintained and decent bath facilities. Apparently, on Thursday nights though, there is no park ranger around and some major redneck-shit goes down. Very uncomfortable.

Full disclosure, I'm staying one night and got in late so I'll be brief. THIS CAMPGROUND IS OPEN AGAIN. I booked through the Recreation.gov app, but I'm sure others will work as well.
Signal on Verizon is strong, had no issues connecting. I'm writing this from the campground itself.
Unfortunately we were unable to camp here. According to park ranger said this campground is closed for one year or longer. No explanation was given as to why. Ft Hamby Campground is nearby and open.
Warrior Creek Campground is located on the Kerr Scott Reservoir. It's beautiful and peaceful, at least Monday through Friday. Weekends tend to get filled up fast and often with large groups stretching the limits of a campsite. It's close to home for us and we love camping there, especially in the fall. It is surrounded by hiking/mountain biking trails. Bath houses are nice and clean.
We stayed for 4 nights, our site was incredible, the others not so much. The loop we were on had a vault toilet with t/p and hand sanitizer, there was a shower/toilet house a few hundred yards up the road, which we usually drove to for hot showers, very clean there. The campers before us were slobs with kids, there were little bits of plastic packaging all over the site along with their hanging neon night light which they were too lazy to put in the trash, apparently they didn't go through scouting. Sites here can be a bit close with no trees to screen your neighbor. If you're an rv'er would you please respect quite hours and not blast your tv until 11pm. They don't enforce quiet hours.
Went with our two dogs for two nights. Spaces are pretty close together and open, so you’ll see your neighbor.
Unfortunately, we had terrible neighbors our second night and made a quick exit the following morning as a result.
Otherwise, the bathhouse was clean, and the trails around the campground were very nice. The stand alone outhouses were very gross; spider webs, flies everywhere, and dark.
I don’t think I will return, but think it would be good for families and people who want ease over quiet.
We stay here every year for a four day music festival up the road at Wilkes Community College. You are about 10 minutes from resteraunts and shopping, or you can enjoy fishing and boating and never leave the woods.
We stayed 3 nights, and it was a great campground for our family. Clean restrooms, a small beach, playground, and quiet. We don't mountain bike but several of our friends do and they said they trails were great. Sites are a little close and open to each other but overall would visit again.
Nice campground, great mountain biking
clean restroom and showers
nice campground, clean restrooms water and electricity
Super mt bike trails that have been built and maintained by volunteers who really care and ride the trails often. Solid facilities to camp. 10 to 15 minutes drive by car to the wilkesboro with plants of food and amenities. Other biking nearby on greenway, black mountain and the trails at cub creek!!
