One of the best around.
I come here every Father’s Day weekend. Love this place. Great staff, plenty of activities and all around good time.

Our 4rth state in our 5 state trip is New Jersey! We wanted to see Delaware Water Gap NRA & I found a campground by Newton called The Great Divide. This is a private campground. Very scenic with a small lake, a pond & surrounded by woods. This is also the most expensive campground on our trip at $96.11 a night.
Lots to do for families- they have kayaks for camper use. Horseshoes, tether ball, volleyball, a pool, a playground, a dog park. There's a swimming beach.
One strange thing is there's a lot of tent sites & they seemed popular. For the amount of tent/popup sites they only have 1 shower per loop. They are very clean & checked often, but they're used heavily during the weekend. I had better luck Sunday evening. A bench outside the bathroom would have been nice to sit & wait.
The rv sites were all full hookup on our loop.
We came in on a Friday & found out this campground ROCKS!!! They have live bands every Friday & Saturday night during the warm months. This might explain the higher rates. Party on!
Loved it so much. Great campgrounds, so many activities for kiddos and not so far from home. Really recommended!
We have visited The Great Divide a few times & it never disappoints.
Clean campground with many nice amenities to enjoy a fun weekend. The Campground is a mix of seasonal and visitors passing through.
The only negative is that as this campground becomes more popular it is harder to book a site.
Love the pool and small pond for fishing it is well stocked with little fish. The barn with games is nice. They have theme weekends with lots of activities. Nice store & food by the pool. It is also nice to just walk around the Campground.
This is a beautiful place to camp.
This campground is amazing! Not only is it in a beautiful setting, but the sites have a nice amount of space and everything is so clean. The pool was great and the laundry room was immaculate. Within about an hour from NYC...it appeared to be the closest nice campground we could find to explore the city. But above all, the customer service is fantastic. We arrived late in the evening on an almost 100 degree day to find out the ac in our camper was not working. The owner came out to try and help us fix our ac, and when that didn't work, they set us up in one of their rental cabins for the evening. With 3 kids and a dog, we were so grateful!
All the positive reviews about this place are accurate! Beautiful, clean, well maintained, lots to do, great value for your $$
Went here about 10 times already. Can't wait to go again. If your looking for a close beautiful campground look no further. So many activities for the kids but also when you wanna retreat back to your campground you can and it feels like you alone in the woods depending on what site you grab. God willing I will be going out there a fee times this camping season. Gotta spread the love around to my other camping sites. But this one is by far my favorite in NJ for car camping.
This is a beautiful campground with much to do around the grounds themselves. They had live music which was actually really good!!! A reggae band. We found plenty of trails to hike with our two dogs. Staff were very helpful and kind. Bathrooms clean And shower was warm and clean as well. They even have a heater to keep you comfortable in and out of the shower. The sites could be very close depending upon where u go. We had r6 and we had neighbor on one side. If the other spot was occupied then it might be a little too close for us. But there are some other sites that def are separate. If you have a big crew then there are plenty of joint spots. It was just two of us and two dogs so we would like a little more privacy. But we made it work and it is def some place we are going to go to again and again!!!!
Our first camping experience. Bathrooms were clean, staff were friendly and the camp site well maintained. Awesome first time experience..
This was our second visit to the campground and the first weekend they opened to RVs after Covid. No amenities were open but we had a great time fishing in the lake. Spots are spacious and campers were spread out throughout the large campground. Staff are very friendly and we had a great weekend! Lots of hills so bikes are hard to use. We hiked the golf cart trails which are beautiful and go throughout the woods.
Always come here.
This was our first time camping and it was a success. Sites had room to move and it was quiet and peaceful. Kids had lots of fun on the free kayaks and pool. Staff was friendly and helpful. Campgrounds have lots of hills so be prepared to hike up and down.
Great little campground close to NY. Friendly people, attentive to you needs/ concerns. A lot of Family activities. we have stayed here a few times before and always had a great time. This was a last minute trip so our site was ok. the W loop is by far our favorite!!!!
Amazing place
Like many of the sites in this area, Great Divide had a large pool which was used by many of the campers. Even though we had a rainy day, we still enjoyed our time at Great Divide. The campgrounds were very big and spread out and the campsites have their own space so you can enjoy quiet at night. Each site had a water spout and electric plug in. The common area, along with the pool, had a small soccer field and volleyball court. They also had scheduled activities for kids. The one downside about this site was that you are not allowed to keep your car at your site. You have to drop your supplies off and drive it back to the parking lot which was slightly annoying. They also had covered wagons which I believe you can sleep in, but I did not pursue this option… (see pics!)
Great family run campground. Owners are a blast. Most sites are level. Some areas are a little steeper then I would like to set up on, but that’s me. Nice small lake with boats to use. Nice small beach. Lots of weekend activities. Will be back in the future
