6 Reviews of Rainbow Point Campground

This is a great campsite. Siri took me on some crazy roads to get to it, but she got me there, but be aware that Siri might not be the best directions to get you there. The host had raked and cleaned our site very nicely prior to our arrival. The pit toilets were clean. Lots of signage about bears so it’s a spot to work hard at putting your attractants away.

Good spot

This was a great spot though it did lack water and Sewer hook ups. While there was potable water available, it was too far to hook up to our camper.

Dirt access roads/close to Yellowstone

Good location and very scenic lake at campground! Close to Yellowstone West entrance! No water or sewer hookups! No showers, but community water spouts and port a potty type toilets. Tight space for our Class A motorhome! ($10 sewer dump in town at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park).

It was pretty dark when I got in...

So I can only say I'm fairly certain this is where I was. Nice, right? Well it was either this one or cabin creek or something about a Beaver. Whaddaya gonna do?

Got aced at all the campgrounds at Jellystone so joined a caravan of other desperate souls seeking somewhere to rest. This one had openings and I enthusiastically snagged one.

The camp host was up & helping folks get situated so that seemed good. I didn't get eaten by a bear - double bonus! In the morning, I stopped by the lake nearby and took the pic associated w/my review. It's not at the campground - but same general area.

Nice lake campground

Very nice campground in old growth pines, built to service people recreating on the lake. There is plenty of room for larger vehicles, and there is water available.

Over run

Love this area it's so pretty but this site is always full durring the summer season. It's so close to thw park that locals don't have a chance of being here without being crowded out. I do like to go for a day visit though.
