A wonderful campground with extremely welcoming and helpful staff from the minute we pulled up. Fellow campers were pleasant (no rowdy groups). A beautiful campground with winding roads and tall trees. Sites angled different ways so that you don't feel cramped. We stayed in Area C, Site 45w with a nice view of the water, close to the bathhouse, playground, and rocky beach. Bathrooms and showers were clean the entire stay. Showers are free and nice and hot. Camp store had a variety groceries and necessities in case you forgot something. So much to do in the LBL Rec. area. Next time we'll bring our bikes and archery equipment to try out the range on-site at Hillman Ferry. Make sure to visit the Nature Center and Elk and Bison Prairie. Canoeing on Energy Lake, we spotted bald eagle and beaver dens among other wildlife.
