Seems like every spot has shade…except for mine. Coveting neighbors' spots but mine is great!. Water and electric are available at my tent spot (bring an extension cord or 2). Gorgeous view. Fire ring and picnic table included. Cell service is awesome here.
Special Federal lakefront RV Park. Reasonable fees too
This is without a doubt the nicest campground we've stayed at. Most spots are on the water. They also have nicely mowed grass and some trees. Campground is VERY clean. Nice level spots also. We did some driving around to pick out our favorite spots. We stayed at spot #71 which is without a doubt the nicest spot in the whole campground. We will be returning September 17th and will be staying for 14 days. Can't wait. In my opinion the 3 best spots are 70,71 and 72. Actually any spot in the loop we stayed at (spots 62 to 75) are awesome. We also liked 33 and 61.
Great locations right on the lake. Our friends have a boat slip at Lake Lanier. They were able to pick us up right at our campground site. The views of the lake are awesome. We had a spacious spot, but some are right on top of each other. There are some spots that have outstanding views, but you have to reserve those well in advance. Those book up fast. Our site was shady and most sites offer some shade, but there are some in direct sun. There is a beach area for swimming, but you can swim in the lake anywhere. We swam in the cove near our site. We also kayaked at the cove. There was some loud music one night. We didn’t want to disturb the staff about it. Lake Lanier is known for parties. The park is older and bathrooms were dated, but clean. There’s not other activities other than the lake itself. It’s a small campground. The campsite was paved and level.
Every site we’ve stayed at has been great. They vary in size, but most have easy access to the water. Bathrooms are well maintained as well. The staff can have a grumpy side and aren’t always the most welcoming, but overall, it’s a great place we frequent often.
Beautifully maintained, large sites and breathtaking views. Close to area attractions, shopping and restaurants. The most outstanding sunsets you will ever see.
Gorgeous campground on Lake Lanier. Most campsites on the water. Everything manicured and groomed to perfection. Very helpful people at the front gate. All amenities kept in excellent condition.
Had a great time around the firepit, great view of Lake Lenier. However, one neighbor kept complaining about the noise that wasn't there. Keep it up!
Such a good experience guys! I was schocked: we found beautiful restrooms with showers, toilet paper and a LAUNDRY! Also, we saw a lot of animals and the sunrise was amazing. I wanna come back soon.
