Great Find Great Service

This county campground takes the America the Beautiful Pass or an ADA Accessibility Pass, but you will need to call the office at 770-607-6245 to add the pass to your account for the discount before making reservations. If you are a big rig, it would be wise to call the office and have them assist you in choosing a site that will accommodate a larger rig. Our RV GPS and Waze brought us right to the campground (CG). There is also signage to verify that you are going the right way until you see the CG entrance. We pulled into the gate area and were checked in by the attendant on duty. During the process, she wanted to be sure how to navigate the CG to pull through site 16 with water and electric(50/30/20 AMP) due to the size of our rig. After confirming with her husband the best route, we drove to the site going through a small one-way road, which was no issue. As our rig is 40', we needed to watch the trees on a couple of corner turns and then pull down into our site. We got the rig into the levelist position possible to get our rig’s steps down to an assessable position and fairly level, but we did need to add levelers to our steps and the passenger-side tires. Other than that, it’s a great site with a deck, patio, stand-up BBQ, picnic table, and fire pit overlooking the lake. We were told, and noticed, that all the sites in this quaint little county park have a water view. The water pressure was good at around 55 psi and we got 1 bar on Verizon. There are a lot of mature trees here, but we were able to get a clear north sky shot for Starlink. It was a pleasant surprise to find that the restroom/shower house had a fairly new washer($3) and dryer($2) that only took credit cards. They have an interesting dump station set up where you climb a fairly steep hill. This station would be good for shorter rigs. On our 40’ Brinkley with two black tanks, getting the back tank would be at a downhill angle and we believe we would scraped going up the slope. We had to stay a couple of extra days to get our truck fixed and the attendants were more than accommodating. This is a nice park, especially for fishermen and we enjoyed our time here.

Nice but be cautious!

While this great little park should deserve 4.5-5 stars, we had an unfortunate experience while we were there.  My family of 5 were on the lake-side of our little 22ft TT while someone less fortunate than us decided to steal my 9yr old daughter's new bike.  The bike was parked at the rear of the camper and the thief was very 'brazen' to attempt the theft in the daylight and in a populated and gated campground.  After discussing the issue with the campground staff, we were informed that locals often come through the woods and even wade through the edge of the lake to steal from the campground.  Other than that incident, the campground is very nice with very private sites, lake access and a public boat ramp located on the other side of the main road.  We probably will not return to this campground.

Our go to campground

My whole family has camped here on and off over the past 40 years. Allatoona is our go to Lake and this is a small, quiet, clean campground.  The hosts are friendly and sites are kept clean.

So peaceful

My daughter and I went camping here for 2 nights right on the beach it was like having the beach all to ourselves. We went on a weekday so the people at the front actually let us switch sites so we could get the one we wanted since we booked over the phone before looking. That spot wasn't available this weekend but all the sites are by the water just cant go jump in right there and you can drive to the beach in the campground in seconds or walk.

Peaceful setting, very clean. Shower house is clean and well maintained also has laundry facilities. Hosts are friendly. Has lots of power and water sites as well as tent sites with nice gravel tent pads. Some sites do not have grills. The TV pads are all paved and mostly level. There is a swimming beach, no lifeguard. Pets are allowed with the common rules. Lots of shade.

Small campground with water access from every spot!

Clark Creek North is a small gem tucked along the shore of Lake Allatoona just north of Atlanta. It is small with just 24 spots equipped with water and electric and every spot has water access. Most spots provide complete privacy from your neighbors because of all the trees. It is comfortable to both RV and tent campers. The bathroom/showers are clean.

Quick overnight stop

We stopped over for the night on our way to Colorado. Shirley and Bud who checked us in and out were very friendly and found a spot right on the lake for us at 10 pm at night. Gate closes at 10:30 so it is a nice option if you are driving late. A lot of pop up campers and RVs but very quiet. Lake was peaceful in AM and bathrooms and showers were decently kept up. We would stay here again if stopping overnight again. Right off of I-75
