Stayed at a standard electric site and it was great. We tent camped with our pup and the site was plenty spacious enough to have all of our gear out plus room for the pup to run. All trails are very well maintained and have beautiful views. Only thing I would suggest is if you want some peace and quiet choose the west rim for camping. East rim in directly on the main road and sites are super close together.
The staff could not be more friendly and helpful. The park itself is beautiful and the West campground is well maintained and the shower rooms were in excellent shape. I would guess this part fills up very fast in peak season. We are here on a Monday night in early March and most sites are taken.
The camping spots at the premium sites where they have hook up and water are nice. They are flat and seem to be well maintained. The public bathroom area is clean. I did not try the showers, but I was visiting in early February and it was pretty cold inside the bathrooms so I don’t know how well the hot water works.
Awesome trails and amenities! Even a laundry room! If you have kids spot 47 at west rim would be perfect the playground is right there and the restrooms !
We spent 3 nights at CL. The campground is well maintained and has all amenities needed. The park itself has several hiking trails of different difficulty levels.
Cloudland Canyon is one of Georgia’s prettiest parks. There are 2 campgrounds. West Rim campground has more privacy, with the sites in the trees. Sites in The East Rim campground are closer together, and is noisier.. There are also backcountry campsites. The West Rim Loop Trail, considered one of the top 10 hikes in the United States, according to Backpacker Magazine starts in the West Rim Campground. There is also a strenuous waterfall trail into the canyon. The campground was water and electric sites. There are no full hookup sites, but there is a dump station. Modern showers and bathrooms.
Great State Park. Quick getaway for some hiking fun. East Rim campground has the most access to hiking but the road can be busy for all the hikers/visitors. West Rim is secluded. You can get to the other trails by virtue of the West Rim trail. Few sites have sewer and most pull throughs have no shade. Sites are mostly level and bathhouses are clean and close. Waterfalls were weak but we knew this going in July but still great views. Our next trip here will be in the fall.
We have camped every Ga State Park but four. Hard to beat Cloudland. Large, tons of activities, well-maintained without losing its outdoors credentials. Most trails are moderate to strenuous because of elevation gain and roots/rocks. The Cave tour is a must, but prepare to get dirty. The West Rim campground is VASTLY superior with tons of privacy, tree cover, great terraces at most sites, with the ones outside ones being the best. Despite being there for the 4th of july, it was quiet. The downside is that getting to the main parts of the park are a drive away or a 2 mile hike with elevation. The East Rim campground is the thing of nightmares - sites on top of each other, no vegetation, no trees, right next to road, zero privacy, but next to outlooks. A couple of the sites towards the back looked ok. Anyway, if you’re an avid outdoors person, this and Black Rock are the best GA parks.
The good: fantastic views of a canyon, and the electric/ RV sites are very nice. They also have EV charging at 35 cents Kwh. A couple of good places to eat nearby.
The not so good: The tent only sites get very muddy when it rains so it's best to watch the weather. The next time I stay here I will book an electric6y/RV site.
They’re both very easy, hiking trails and more difficult ones depending on how much you wanna do. The staff at the desk is very helpful, especially for my first time camping campsites are really big, especially for tents. Cell service is OK but there’s Wi-Fi over campus as well 10 out of 10 would recommend
As most people say, this is one of the best parks for camping. Lots of great hikes, waterfalls and blooming azalea and rhododendron. It looked like the bath houses in the west rim campground are new or fully renovated. The lower portion of the west rim campground appears to have lost many of the shade trees. However our site was nicely shaded. We plan on going back maybe in the fall.
Loved this park. Everyone was very friendly. Lots of Intermediate to strenuous level hiking.
The campground is very clean and like new. We used our pop up and the site we used was very level.

Beautiful peaceful camping ground. Walking distance to Sitton Gulch. Campground was clean and the staff is very friendly. Waterfalls were dry at the time of our visit, but it was still a beautiful site.
We loved this State Park. The campsites were pristine, spacious, and well-planned. We enjoyed the hiking trails and reconnecting with nature. There was an on-site camp store with everything we needed.
Great place to camp near the cloudland canyon. The campsite 8 that we camped on was far from parking and restroom, so you might wanna choose the sites near to parking. Be prepared to carry things for quite a walk. Bring something to carry water to your site from water filling station near the restrooms. But, the campsites are well spaced so you will have the privacy you need. There are lots of beautiful hiking places nearby.
The sites are very close together here and you can expect it to usually be booked up. However, the facilities are in great condition and there are lots of short trails to amazing vistas.
They also sell $6 firewood, which is the cheapest I’ve seen in a while. Checking in is confusing because they don’t send you any info on what to do or how to get to your site (there’s two campgrounds, don’t go to the wrong one). You are supposed to stop at the visitor center to check in.
The park is beautiful with a nice modern campground. The sites are very nice. The bathroom and showers are very new and well-maintained. The views of the canyon below are breathtaking. There are wonderful trails leading down tobthr valley the views of waterfalls.
We stayed in the West Rim Campground and i love the way it's laid out. Site 34 has multi levels, one for the camper, one which could be a sitting or tent area, and one for the firepit. It backs up to woods but also has an open area that you could play numerous games(cornhole, football, frisbee etc) It also has a picnic table, grill and fire ring(all were in amazing shape). We purchased firewood from the visitor center but you can also purchase from camp host. Currently it's$6 a bundle and they keep it in a cute little outhouse looking storage building lol. It is a very clean, well maintained and quiet(while we were there) campground. If you are even slightly considering staying here, just go ahead and book it. It's an amazing campground surrounded by an equally amazing State Park.
First time to this State Park, but won’t be the last. Large pull through sites with fire pits, grills, picnic tables, and lantern poles. Close proximity to several hiking trails with sweeping vistas and gorgeous waterfalls. Clean and warm bathrooms/shower house. Friendly hosts.
Good site. Ground is slanted but the walk was easy. Our 4 year old had no issue and neither did I even with a pack and being 4 months pregnant
This place seems to have it all. The hikes are diverse from walking along the edge of a canyon with beautiful vistas to trekking through the gulch with canyon walls towering overhead. The waterfalls are beautiful too although they were all but non-existent after the recent dry weather. The campsites offer good privacy with clean facilities.

Stayed in the East Rim for 7 nights. Amazing park with plenty of great hiking trails for all level of 'hikers'. We had a very young fawn come through our site and hang around all morning.
The facilities were the best I have ever seen in a state park.
Website does not mention it but there is laundry facilities in the campground.

Wow! The great folks at Cloudland are doing major improvements. New camp sites, new bath houses, new laundry machines. Wonderful hosts. Easy to get into sites, trees are trimmed up high. Did a bit of hiking, a bit of laundry and a lot of relaxing.
So quiet, many trails, native blueberries in season. Easy to get to campground, navigate to our site and exit to dump site. Our can site was spacious, clean and so quiet.
While this campsite was a little bit of a walk from the parking area, and the parking area needs more spots, we had a blast being this far away other campsites and being so close to the west rim trail.
The seclusion was wonderful and quiet, and the showers and bathrooms were clean and appeared to be new.
If you don’t mind walking to your site, the walk-in campsites are a great option for a weekend stay!
Camped at site 19 of the walk-in campground. The campsites close to parking and fairly close, I chose site 19 because it is a bit of a walk and more private. I could not see any other campers from campsite. During the week I had the back section all to myself. There is a stream flowing by the campsite so I could hear the water flowing, nice and relaxing. Hiking trail runs from campsite to the main trails for plenty if beautiful hiking and waterfalls to enjoy.
You can definitely tell there has been lots of recent work completed. The West Rim was closed during our visit but we stayed at the newly renovated East Rim and it was very nice. Flat sites, well spaced, some pull through sites that are very large for big rigs. There are also a few handicap paved sites near the bath house. Access to trails directing behind cabins.
