What a gem! Lottis Creek is peaceful and beautiful, and just a great place to relax and enjoy the Colorado air. We stayed here over the weekend and really enjoyed the hosts on Baldy loop. They took great care of this campground and were kind to compliment our group (with lots of kids between the two families there). Getting to talking to them this was their last season, so can't speak to the hosts for next year.
We didn't have any cell service on AT&T, though one of the kids in our group had Verizon and was able to get a signal for calls. Not sure on data, but the hosts did say "Verizon worked". As others say driving up to the reservoir (10 minutes) has full bars service (if you need it).
Best camping ground Iโve been to. Host is amazing and hiking trail right next to the campgrounds leads to a beautiful valley. Will visit again
Stayed at the group site. Drinking water, pavilion with electricity & lights, your own restrooms. Slept right next to the creek. Trailheads walking distance away.
This campground is located about 15 minutes from Taylor Reservoir. You donโt have views of the reservoir but the campground is beautifully settled between pine trees. Yet, not enough shade to block our solar intake. No cell service. You have to drive to the reservoir to get it. The hosts were great and kept the place very cleaned and maintained. Some sites are more private than others. There is a nice hike close to the campground and the Taylor River is just a few minutes away. All sites had electrical hook ups. We loved it here!
Great spot for tent or RV camping. Stayed in Union loop with Jess (site manager btw awesome guy). Pros: -very clean sites and restrooms thanks to Jess. -great fishing along the Taylor river -plenty of shaded area at the sites. -great hiking. Cons: -if coming from Denver itโs a trek due to cottonwood pass being under construction. Bottom line: definitely a great spot, must check it out.
Smaller part of the Lottis Creek camp area on the other side of the creek. Only 10 sites, most you can reserve. Well maintained, beautiful spot at 9000โ. Lots of birds and deer. Cattle drive in late June skirts the boundary, but itโs kind of fun to watch the cowboys and their dogs work. Great hiking from the site.
Quiet, clean and peaceful campground. Friendly hosts. Looking forward to returning!
