This is my go to spot for missions to Mammoth! Whether setting up shop for a few days or rolling in late before an early start, I always camp here, although I would suggest driving an AWD vehicle.

This place was the busiest of the hot springs in the area. There is so much public land here that we ended up finding a super secluded spot off of hot creek which is even better than a hot spring IMO.

Little dirt road to a super cool hot spring. Looks like it’s very popular! Quarter mile walk to the springs. Two different pools and very warm and clean! You can camp whenever you like. Pack trash in and out. They had a little out house too.

This is some great dispersed camping. There are soooo many spots to choose from. Very spread out all with a nice mountain range to look at. We had a difficult time finding hot springs. There are no signs or anything so you either have to do some research or go on an expedition. The main one was packed to the brim with people. There were so many little children it looked like an outdoor daycare. We opted out of that one and stumbled across a man-made hot spring. Those were the only two we found. This would be a nice area to go for a day trip as well. If you’re thinking about coming here for the fourth of july; don’t. Shit looked like EDC.

Arguably the most popular hot springs in the Mammoth and Lake Crowley area, this BLM managed area sees a lot of traffic, but is well worth a visit! It has a nice maintained gravel road that ends in a large parking lot. Just before the parking lot is a pull out area with fire pits and space for multiple tents. If this is full there is another road that goes past the parking area and a little further on there is another pull out for a tent or two. There are two large hot springs pools that are natural and mostly undeveloped. To get to them you must walk down a wooden walkway and gravel path about 500 yds to the pools from the parking lot.
