Get A Site on The Creek!

This small campgorund has nothing fancy about it.  Just a great location. It has a rushing creek with water falls and is simply relaxing.  This campground closes when the "summer" season is over so get there before it closes in the fall and you will be surrounded by "fall colors."

It is primitive so come well supplied.  Fishing up and down the creek.  It is below Tioga pass and you can take the road which is below Tioga deep into the canyon until you end at a power plant.  You have to go over a dirt road to get there but it is not bad.

Tables (some not in the best shape) and fire rings. Primitive rest rooms.

Not far from Yosemite

Stopped here for a night on the way to Yosemite. Half the grounds have lots of trees and a creek running alongside the sites. Some sites were relatively small and close together, but some accommodated larger trailers. Continuing around the loop, the sites were more open, less trees and larger sites. Bear boxes and tables provided at each site. Portable bathrooms were available near the front, along with dumpsters. No recycling provided, only trash.

LOVE this place!

This place isn't always open as it is an overflow campground. Due to flooding last year there are a few less sites available. The toilets that are available are portable outhouses that get emptied at least weekly as is the garbage. The stream gets stocked as well.

There are many sites that are directly on the stream. Hopefully people are respectful of no dumping so that nothing gets contaminated. Many sites are separated from others by bush so that you don't see your neighbours.

Just at the corner of Hwy 395 and 120 is a gas station where for $10 you can dump your RV and flush it. As well there is food, propane and firewood for purchase. And live entertainment a few nights a week.

The town of Lee Vining is right there as well where you can get anything that you need. Enjoy an ice cream at InyoCone, free WiFi at the local library (by the High School) and do drop in at the Information Center.
