There are many ways you can stay at Calaveras Big Trees State Park. We offer two regular campgrounds open to tenting or RVs (units up to 30 feet long) for dry camping (no hook ups). There are environmental campsites in the park that are separate from the regular campgrounds, and two group campsites that can accommodate large groups. There are also cabin rentals that will be available for the 2024 camping season. 

All our campsites are equipped with a picnic table, fire ring, and bear locker. A regular campsite will hold 8 people and one vehicle is paid for with the campsite fee. A second vehicle is permitted at the camp site and will incur a fee of $10 per night. Any more vehicles will be $10 per night and will be permitted to park in the campground’s overflow parking. 

We highly encourage making reservations to stay in the park, all of which are accessible through Reserve California  or at 800-444-PARK (7275) TTY: 800-274-7275. Reservations can be made 6 months to 48
