Good for the price

Yes, the roads need some work but honestly the sites were large. Most folks camping were there with boats for fishing. It had rained quite a bit so we didn’t get to do the trails too muddy/swampy. We biked and it was nice for those who just like a five mile easy, couple hills only, type riding.

Overnight

Camped here for one night Jan.1, 2021. Fine for the night, nothing special. Staff are friendly and accommodating. However, the area is not inviting. Camping spaces are close together.

i don't recommend

We've been road tripping for the past 7 days and have stayed at new campsites everyday but this one has definitely been our LEAST favorite. we stayed in a tent and luckily had quite a big site but then again we were the only people there last night so we kind of used land from another site. we had to deal with coyotes outside of our tent all night whining and rustling the leaves. the lake is anything but one, it looks like it's the designated dump station for the RV. I recommend loads of bug spray and to keep an eye open for snakes. i feel as though the photos on their site are extremely misleading. the bathrooms aren't bad, they're actually pretty nice. i didn't have good cell service, i mainly stayed between 1-2 bars. the outlets don't hold plugs all that well and we bought fans in the middle of the night for the heat. there are plenty of cockroaches around the camp sites so i say look out for that. it's not necessarily a HORRIBLE place it's just not worth the 30 something dollars it cost. also, this is a personal opinion, but the town and the campground in general just give off bad vibes. just be careful.

Fine for a couple of nights

This is a small campground with really friendly staff. The sites are decent sized with many pull-through sites. There is a nice path that you can walk from the campground to downtown. There is also a small dock which you can launch a kayak or canoe from if you are skilled at getting into boats. Most of the people staying looked like they had been there for a while. There were some sketchy people who drove through during the day smelling like alcohol and asking me if they could see the inside of my camper. Pool, restrooms, grounds could definitely use some updating. At night the campground was quiet but you can still hear road noise. I had site 63 which was nice because it was next to the pond, although it offered no shade. I had no cell service with Verizon and my site was too far for the WiFi to work. It was fine to explore the area for a couple of days, but I wouldn’t want to stay any longer.

Disgusting place and rude owners!

Discrimination, disrespectful, rude, disgusting facilities, bug infested and broken cabins, mold infested and unclean/unsafe/unsanitary living conditions, evicting tentants with no proper legal rights, service, nor reason, NON-ada compliant, lying and forcing me to pay for an expensive rental house I cant afford but they gave the rental I was promised to someone else, they refuse to give their online and brochure- stated Good Sam Club or military discounts, and they refuse to put anything in writing to avoid prosecution. I was told because the owner decided she didn’t like me that she can not accommodate me and my children (who all 3 have disabilities); yet she picks and chooses who she decides can stay or not with no regards to the damages she is doing to innocent families. I have done nothing wrong and she has no legal right to tell me to leave the house they forced me to go to while I was eating only a week for the smaller and cheaper cabin- but she gave the cabin to someone else and refused to let me know, and now I’m forced to pay double in the cabin I cannot afford. I hope they are ready for the lawsuit coming soon. They have harbored a sex offender knowing he was not registered to his campground address and he continues to remain on the property as well; around young children (including mine). I have had to stop going to the main facilities because of this issue and they don’t care. I spoke with law enforcement and they said the can’t evict anyone right now due to the “stay at home” CoVid-19 ruling yet they are passing out “eviction letters” as if they are official letters from the sheriffs office. My rental is infested with rotten molding subfloors that sink when you walk on them. The owners refused to acknowledge and fix them; all while knowing I have a disability that is directly related to my lungs and an immunodeficiency which can cause my illnesses to get worse.

This is unacceptable and needs to be addressed before they damage the next groups of people that do not yet know what Lake Eufaula Campground and the owners will do or make up to falsely accuse people and discrimination against the disabled community AND the military community. Rick and Karen should be ashamed of themselves!

Great hidden gem-wonderful for families

I took my boys here for the holiday weekend.  The pool was large and clean, the bathrooms were recently updated, and they had fun things for the kids.  They loved craft time in the afternoon, the scavenger hunt and mini golf course.  Great location next to town and the owners were very accommodating.

Bring Your Insect Repellant

I camped in a pop up, so it was a higher end experience than I’m used to haha

Be prepared for heat and mosquitos. It was a small campground, but still offered an enjoyable experience.
