Awesome
Not far off the main road into Hog Canyon just north of town. Good clearance was helpful because they plow the sand sometimes and there’s a lip to get into the site.
Stayed at the site with the overhanging cave which is an awesome group campsite. In the summer I’d assume it’s always taken because of the accessibility.
Really just one spot to camp at
Not much Space, great location, but definitely have a Plan B location for the night because someone might be there already. Pretty heavily trafficked dirt road with some load ATV and four wheel groups, passed by several times at night but not really an inconvenience to us.
Nice secluded spot
This was a very nice spot and felt very private. Unfortunately the dirt road is a pretty heavily used off-road trail so there were several groups that went by while we were there. Nothing annoying but they will be coming by.
The ground is super fine sand, but my Ford Fusion made it up the road no problem. In wet conditions I could see it being super muddy.
There’s one massive gravel area closer to the main road which had two RVs. We went about half a mile up the trail and found another sandy spot on the left. Presumably there’s more farther up but we didn’t look

Absolutely Amazing
Absolutely awesome spot to camp!! Especially if you can get the spot that is tucked underneath/in an alcove. It’s far enough away from the main road that you shouldn’t hear much (if any) traffic. There is a local cow that may pay you a visit but is harmless and minds it’s own business. The view of the stars from under the alcove at night.. EPIC!

Good spot was dry so no issues getting up
The best site was taking so I drove about a half mile or so and found another spot just to the left off the road. Was right beside the creek. Good spot for RTT.
Beautiful & Quiet
We stayed a few miles up into the public land. There’s a lot of off-road trails & it’s muddy, tons of fun wheeling! Found a spot on the top of a hill that was flat enough for us to set up camp. Great stop between Zion & Page.

Great spot outside of Kanab
Went up a mile or so and right before the big area with the BLM signs and information we found a perfect pull off. Would recommend.

Great spot outside Kanab
Great spot right outside of Kanab. Found a pull off prior to the big flat area at the kiosk. Lots of space to park, flat.
Perfect spot on the way to Zion
3-4 sites to the right of the info board (where the coordinates leave you). Otherwise you can drive through and find an open area off of the road. Be mindful that this is an off roading 4x4 rec area, so camp with that in mind. All sand so 4x4 is definitely recommended.
Not much, but free
It was an okay drive with my Rav4, but I think it would be harder for a low vehicle. A lot of ATVs in this area as well. No bathrooms, but you get some cell service since it's right outside Kanab. Pack in, pack out.
Accessible Red Canyons
I loved waking up to this view, after driving in our pro master 3500 during the night.
This is BLM land so you can park where ever (for free) there are turnouts or at this kiosk.
A nice walk through this canyon will prove worthy. Views, solitude, and stunning ecosystem... the sage and wildflowers were beautiful.
