Fun spot for waterside weekend getaway

We had a good time at this fairly new and well kept KOA for a weekend getaway, the kids loved being so close to the water and digging on the beach, they also enjoyed the outdoor foosball table and the fishing pier. When we visited in April it was very windy and we couldn’t rent the trikes or the kayaks, but we’d come back and do that next time.

Friendly spot near Texas coast

Mainly RV Camping but a few tent campers. Clean showers. Pizza restaurant, hot tub, firewood. Classic family friendly glamping.

Find somewhere else to stay

Find yourself somewhere else to stay! Beyond displeased with this place.$77/night for gravel parking and horrible road to get to this location. The place has potential, but I don't ever being worth what they're asking for short term stays. The kayak rentals are$25/hr and the water trikes are$45/hr. The pickleball court did not even have a net up. Grounds were not kept up. Mowing appeared to take place every 2 weeks and made mosquitos worse of problem because of it. The long term rentals were also complaining about the mowing not taking place enough. That seemed odd to us because there seemed to be plenty of staff on site to take care of those basic needs. We left early and they would not even adhere to their own 48 hr cancelation policy.

Great stop over

We only did two nights here. It was windy and cold so we didn’t get to check the whole resort out. I will say all the staff are friendly and courteous. Great view of the lake from our end spot. We will be back again.

Up and Coming!

This New Holiday Campground is really getting off the ground. Staff is amazing and very welcoming. They have great amenities and the campsites are great sized. Facilities are clean and nice upgrades. Laundry on site and machines work really well and its open 24/7. They have a camp store that is really great and well stocked. They are very dog friendly with a dog park and daily trash pick up at your site. The kids loved the pool and us parents enjoyed the hot tub.
