State park is better

Campground seems large but sites are pretty densely packed. I tent in back of my pickup so like a little more space. Mostly designed for RVs and trailers, but there are tent sites with and without electricity. Didn't use the shower house because of drenching rain. There is a small vault toilet near tent sites which was pretty deplorable for so early in the season. For the price, id rather stay at Rocky point state rec area campground.

Nice tent site

Nice flat camping sites, pleasant owners, live on site and are very helpful. Tent site was near the river, and the sound of the river helped drowned out the nearby highway noise.

Great Place!!

I camp in my vehicle. I Rented a non-electrical tent spot for $30. It was beautiful and by the river.

The campground is near the highway so spots near the highway are noisy throughout the night. But the sound of the river helped cut that noise.

Because I camp in my vehicle, the most important part for me is having shower and bathrooms and the shower room and bathroom for the campground was awesome.

The hosts are very nice and helpful, very accommodating. I will definitely stay here again!

Just ok

I think this campground has seen better days. I had full Hookups which was nice. However, the wifi was spotty at best, even with few sites occupied. Weeds were abundant in the stone camping sites and the grass was cut in some places and not others making the campground look unkempt. Convenient to Spearfish and Devil's Tower.

Riverfront Peace

Stayed at this campground for one night while traveling to WA. Owners live on site and are very friendly and accommodating. Bathrooms are very clean and so are the grounds. They offer bundles of firewood for sale on site which is great because all sites have a fire ring. The tent sites are right on the river and it makes for a peaceful sleep

The highway is very close but the road noise is pretty low considering the proximity.

Nice place

Stopped off on our way between Belvidere, SD and Buffalo, WY. This was a nice low key spot. Three miles from the town that has groceries, diesel and good mexican food. We daytripped to Devil's Tower, less than an hour away. Owners are very nice and accommodating. Sites are gravel and grass with fire pits. Both full hookup and dry camping available. Laundry and firewood available also.

Quiet Campground

If you want a campground that doesn’t party (being close to Sturgis) this is it. A few miles from the interstate. On a US Highway so some road noise noticeable with wi does open. Has park WiFi but bandwidth isn’t that great despite to reported price, we were charged $45/cash $50/card per night. Prolly on the rally ramp up schedule. Normally I take pictures, but forgot this time. Many mature shade trees. A huge pulse for us

Great place to camp

Wyatts hideaway is a great place to camp. Wyatts is right by the red water river which is a great turning river. Wyatts campground has a lot of trees too so there is enough shade but you will get enough sun.

Expensive

$750 monthly rate. Sewer hook up, water, and electric are the only amenities on site, unless you’re close enough to the WiFi. The water spigots stick up 2’ above the ground and you’re told if you don’t want it to freeze you’ll need to heat trace and insulate it at your own expense. I showed up mid October and the bathhouse is closed for the season. The campground is conveniently located between a highway and a railway, both are highly active.
